Answer: Mr Ed

"Mr Ed" screened for six seasons, and Bamboo Harvester died in 1970 due to arthritis and kidney problems. In 1994 a horse called Mister Ed competed in the Grand National at Aintree, but failed to get past the 24th fence.

"The Huckleberry Hound" show featured three cartoons in each episode, being "Huckleberry Hound", "Pixie and Dixie" and "Yogi Bear". Yogi was based on the character of Ed Norton, the New York City sewer worker from the television show "The Honeymooners".

6. I live with my friend Rocket J Squirrel in the town of Frostbite Falls, Minnesota. The people we trust the least are Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale, although we seldom recognise them when we meet them. I am a moose, but what is my name?

"The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show" commenced in 1959 and ran for many years. Originally each show consisted of two "Rocky and Bullwinkle" cartoons and a combination of "Dudley Do-right", "Peabody & Sherman" and "Fractured Fairy Tales". The town of Frostbite Falls is supposedly based on the real life town of International Falls, Minnesota, which promotes itself as the "Icebox of the Nation".

7. I am big and yellow and have some friends called Bert, Ernie and Cookie Monster. I am currently lost so could anyone tell me the way to Sesame Street and while you are at it, what is my name?

Answer: Big Bird

"Sesame Street" was a show designed for young children who were at the age of learning to read and to count. The show endeavoured to teach while being funny
at the same time. When Big Bird wears a necktie, it means that an eyehole for the actor inside Big Bird had been made, as normally that person can only see via a camera that relayed to a screen strapped to their chest.

8. I cannot speak but by means of "tsk tsk tsk". I could convey that a human had fallen into a waterhole some fifteen kilometres away. I live in the Waratah National Park along with my friends Sonny, Mark and Matt Hammond. Whilst I can be summoned by blowing through a gum leaf, I also come when my name is called. What is that name?

91 episodes of "Skippy the Bush Kangaroo" were filmed at the fictitious Waratah National Park. In one episode, Skippy was caught in a cattle grid, which prompted the RSPCA to launch an investigation into animal cruelty. This provoked a response from Frank Thring (who played the resident villan) - "You must be joking! That little kangaroo gets better treatment than us humans in the cast. Skippy is pampered and cosseted like a Hollywood queen - and so she should be!"

9. I am a little sheep and have a friend called Charlie Horse. We are usually seen with a person known as Shari Lewis, who always has a hand in anything I do. What is my name?

Answer: Lamb Chop

Shari Lewis died of pneumonia in 1998 but her daughter, Mallory, is carrying on the family tradition working with Lamb Chop and another puppet called Hush Puppy. Lamb Chop appeared before the American parliament (Congress) in 1993 to speak in favour of protections for children's television. The closing theme on
"Lamb Chop's Play Along" went like this:

Meowth taught himself how to speak and walk like a human because a female meowth rejected him stating that he was poor and that she preferred humans. Upon achieving the status of being able to walk and talk the female meowth rejected him because he was a freak.
