It's a brutal and startling scene. A would-be buyer shows up late to his appointment. The dealer runs him over and takes the money. Then, as the cops approach, the dealer gets out and looks for a place to hide the briefcase. He picks a stranger's car.

2. We first see Richard Addison getting ready to do a presentation. What does it include?

Answer: A song and dance routine, with two sidekicks

Richard is in an auditorium. He is trying to sell a weight-loss product. He doesn't seem to be too successful. Then he heads to the garage, where he is shocked to find the suitcase with the cash in the trunk of his car.

3. At the Blue Moon office, Maddie talks about a problem, which is also mentioned several more times in the episode. What is it?

Answer: She is having trouble paying the taxes on her house

With the payroll taxes due for Blue Moon, and the issues with the property tax bill on her own home, Maddie is almost at the end of her rope. This is not the first, nor the last time that there will be trouble paying the bills at Blue Moon.

David does not get along with Richard. Richard usually does not have a good job, but bounces from place to place, using get-rich-quick schemes. When he shows up and says he can treat the detectives to a night out, David is baffled.

While the group are at the restaurant, Richard and Maddie share a nice slow dance. In the distance, we can see that David is quite irate. He is staring and frowning deeply. This is a highly tense scene, and it can be said that David might be angry at either one of them-- or both.

During the trip to the restaurant, David had humbled himself and asked Richard for money to pay Maddie's taxes. The next day at the office, David tried to cover it up, by claiming he 'found' the money in an extra company account. Agnes isn't fooled, because she handles the bookkeeping. David flies off the handle and yells at her.

Then he runs into the men's room and wrecks it, turning faucets on full blast, ripping towel holders off the wall, and otherwise making a mess.

We recognize this person as the drug dealer from the opening scene. His name is Navarrone. He isn't playing around: he pummels David, gets him in a headlock and jams him face-first into a commode. Navarrone says there is a short amount of time for David (or Richard) to recover the money, and he will come back to collect it. At last he leaves.

Richard has bought lots of gifts with the cash, including a fur coat for Maddie. There are other items all around the front room.
