Aunt Elsie sent it, she was about the only person in Mt. Harlan who didn't hold a grudge against Ben for leaving years before, Ben did not want to go; he dreaded going it because he leftafter finishing law school and moved to Atlanta, he said the people there felt they'd let them down, they wanted him as their town lawyer.
