"NCIS": "Truth or Consequences" Quiz

Tony does his best to fight the effects of the truth serum, but it wins out in the end, and over the course of the episode he says a number of things (both poignant and hilarious) that I'm sure he probably would not have said out loud otherwise! Tony describes Gibbs as being (among other things) a "functional mute" and Abby as the "happiest Goth you'll ever meet".

Answer: Yale

Tony replies by saying that he got his B.S. on the street (something tells me he wasn't referring to a Bachelor of Science, though!). He then goes on to taunt Saleem by telling him that Yale has a lousy football team.

Answer: Home theatre guy

Tony brushes aside McGee's objections by telling him not to be "ridunkulous" - of course he's his home theatre guy! Computers are McGee's "thing", so Tony's sure that McGee will be able to help him sort out the wonky picture he's been getting lately (among other things, the reds are kind of "eggplanty").

Answer: Pants-suit girl

Pants-suit girl must have done something right, as we see Tony mouth an impressed "Wow!" as she leaves! The next candidate, Claire Connell, gets a tick of approval from Tony and McGee, who declare that she's "unflappable" - until she meets Gibbs, who apparently reduces her to tears in an off-camera conversation.

Answer: 90210

Tony and Becky are watching McGee interview ("interrogation" has a "negative association", according to Tony) a drug victim, who insists that he doesn't take drugs and that someone must have slipped the drugs to him in his orange juice, because he saw something similar on "90210". Tony turns to Becky and comments that he never really got into the show, as it wasn't his "cup of tea".

Answer: Tight red leather pants

"Something that really cradles my butt". One of the all-time greatest McGee lines! Tony is distracted enough that it passes right over his head - he's too busy worrying about what might have happened to Ziva and why she hasn't been in touch with anyone. McGee is worried as well, and together they decide to start looking into what may have happened to her.

Answer: Psychics, crystals, telepathy

Abby does not find Tony the slightest bit funny - she tells him not to make jokes, and that Ziva being "universally absent" is freaking her out. The three of them decide that since no-one is telling them anything, they'll need to start their own investigation, at which point they realise that they have two options (both illegal): hack into Mossad, or hack into Vance's computer.

Answer: Damocles

Tony is slightly surprised to hear the name, as he has only recently taken a call meant for Gibbs in which he learns of the same ship: "Yeah, I know, like the sword of". Tony asks McGee and Abby to find the Damocles, only for Gibbs to enter with the news that it was lost at sea - it sank in a storm off the coast of Somalia, with no survivors.

Answer: Caf-Pow

Tony in particular does not take the news of Ziva's death well, seemingly going through the motions at work until he realises that they have an obligation to stop Saleem and make sure that no-one else dies. They locate him by tracking the supply routes he uses to import provisions and other necessary items. One item in particular stands out - something not available in Africa, something that Saleem had to import especially from the United States - Abby's beverage of choice, Caf-Pow.

Answer: The wildcard

At Tony's signal, McGee (who has been pretending to be unconscious) manages to knock Saleem off his feet and grab his knife. However, Saleem goes straight for his gun, and in a last-ditch attempt to distract him, Tony tells him about the part he plays in NCIS.

He buys them just enough time for the escape plan to be put in motion: Gibbs takes out Saleem with a sniper shot and they manage to make their escape. The last shot of the episode is of a very tentative-looking Ziva getting a "welcome home" hug from Abby.
