In the middle of the episode he wants time to read because nobody (including his wife and boss) wants him to, they think it wastes time. So, he decides to sit inside the banks vault during his lunch break and read in peace, but when he comes out he realizes that he is the sole survivor of a nuclear war.

He eventually finds a library with the books still there and not damaged or destroyed. He thinks he has all the time in the world to read them, but sadly at the end of the episode he breaks his glasses so he can't read anymore.

The aliens in this episode come to Earth to do anything and everything to help man in every possible way. A few people are suspicious, but just shake it off. When the book left at the UN was discovered, the alien language inside the book was translated and to everybody's horror, it was a cook book!
5. At the end of "The Rip Van Winkle Caper" what was the problem with the gold the men had brought into the future?

When the men stole the gold they were in the mid 1960's. They went to sleep for 100 years and when they awaken they all kill each other through greed. At the very end we learn that gold in the future is manufactured and is now worthless.

In this episode a little girl has a doll named "Talky Tina". The father picks it up one day and it says to him "I'm Talky Tina, and I don't like you." Then later it says "I'm Talky Tina and I'm going to kill you." Kind of creepy isn't it?

In this episode ("The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street") a small street in the mid west is terrorized when cars don't start and blackouts happen, and suspicion of an alien invasion takes place.

The librarian in this episode is deemed obsolete and according to law in the future must be executed by means only decided through him.

The boy in this episode has a special type of psychic power that allows him to do things with his mind. Everybody in the town has to meet up to his wishes and obligations, if not, he "punishes them."

PS If you have ever been on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disneyworld's MGM Studios, you might recognize the opening introduction from this episode and connect it with the Twilight Zone preshow. In this episode Rod says "This as you may recognize is a map of the United States." Then points to a map behind him. On the attraction he says "This as you may recognize is a maintenance service elevator." Then points to an elevator behind him. See the connection?
