He represented the blue team. His nickname was "Mean" and he only won one event, the Slam Dunk. He went home with a silver medal.
4. Which country won the most gold medals in the "Global GUTS" competition?

Answer: United Kingdom

The U.K. dominated the competition with eight gold medals, Mexico came in second with seven golds, the U.S. was in third with six, and Germany followed with four. 5. Which of the following was NOT one of the team colors?

Answer: Green

For the show's entire run, the colors red, purple, and blue were used for the individual competitors.
6. Which of the following was NOT one of the names used for the final obstacle?

Answer: Super Mega Crag

The Crag was a large mountain structure that players had to climb while hitting actuators. The original had six actuators, but after several revisions, the number was increased to seven. Winning this event did not always result in winning the show because of points awarded for previous events.
7. Which country was NOT a part of the Commonwealth of Independent States (C.I.S.) in the "Global GUTS" competition?

Answer: Romania

The C.I.S. also included Russia. It claimed to include Belarus as well, but no athletes from Belarus were ever seen in any episodes of the program. The flag of Belarus was occasionally seen hanging in the rafters, however. The C.I.S. won a total of 12 medals in the competition, but they failed to win even one gold medal. 8. Which of the following is defined as an "Elastic" event?

Answer: Bull's Eye

Moon Race was a track event that involved players wearing Nickelodeon's Moon Shoes and jumping around the race track. The Edge was a "Ski Slope" event that involved players wearing skis and using ski poles.
9. Where were all of the episodes filmed?

Answer: Universal Studios Florida

Though the show is a part of Nickelodeon, all episodes were filmed on a rented sound stage at Universal Studios Florida. The stage was nicknamed the "Extreme Arena", but it is better known as Sound Stage 21. (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickelodeon_GUTS)
10. In what year did the "GUTS All-Star Special" air?

Answer: 1993

The "All-Star Special" featured three contestants who had achieved a perfect score of 1925 during the first season of the show. It was an hour long (twice as long a regular "GUTS" episode!) and included slightly harder obstacles and an extended version of the Basic Training competition.
