In reality, no one really told Buster that Oscar was his father; he jumped to the conclusion after assuming that Oscar woke him.

The box that she was holding in the courtroom contained a fake stomach that Maggie wore to fake a pregnancy. Lindsay and Tobias discovered this when they knocked the box open. Tobias ends up wearing the fake stomach home, and Michael continues to assume that Maggie is pregnant with his child.
