2. What became of the character 'Judy Bryant' when she was released from Wentworth for the final time?

Answer: She embarked upon a songwriting career

Whilst in prison, Judy composed a song entitled 'Pixie's Song' dedicated to her love interest Pixie Mason. Aspiring singer Sheila Brady was also an inmate and Judy let her have the song. However, due to record company mess ups, the song was erroneously credited as a Sheila original so Judy made plans to sue. All was sorted and the company offered Judy a job as Sheila's manager and songwriter.

Her cell mate Kath Maxwell and prison teacher Tom Lucas recognised her potential and under their care, Merle flourished.

Merle was portrayed by Rosanne Hull-Brown, a real life Professor of Music who is now a music teacher.
