In both movies Ben and the doctor stay with Mrs. Glick awaiting her awakening as a vampire. Susan Norton's father is the local doctor in the first movie; I am sure as a way to condense characters. When she does wake up, Dr. Norton is in another room and Ben calls out for him.

This time, Dr. Cody and Ben are both there when she rises. Jimmie Cody is one of the characters from King's novel.

Ben hurries to the doctor's medical bag to get a hypo needle of red blood cell booster. Ben asks Jimmie if he is OK, and Jimmie says to call him in the morning. They have no way of knowing whether or not this stuff can actually reverse the change. Fun Fact: Ironically, immediately after this scene there is a commercial for the drug Procrit on TNT. Procrit is used to boost red cells in chemotherapy patients.

Father Callahan knocks on the door first. Then, Ben kicks the double doors open, and Jimmie leads the way inside.

They find Ralphie and Danny Glick, then Mike Ryerson. They kill Mike first. After some searching, they find a secret cubby hole. One wooden coffin lies within, but it does not contain Barlow. Instead they find Susan Norton, beautiful and undead. Ben stops Jimmie from killing her, and begs for her to be left for later.

Sandy plays the miserable teen housewife and seduces Jimmie. Later, she arranges for Royce to catch them in bed together. Royce demands $10,000 to prevent reporting Jimmie to the medical board. Jimmie borrows the money from Ben. When he delivers it, he finds out that Sandy was involved in the whole ordeal.

Royce is visibly changing when Jimmie drops off the $10,000. Jimmie is scared the baby will die if left in their care. So, he trades his new BMW to Royce and Royce makes Sandy hand over the baby. Jimmie convinces them there is a virus going around that the baby needs a vaccine for.

Mark has NO father in this movie. In the first movie Barlow killed both of his parents by bashing their heads together. Father Callahan is made a watch dog by Barlow at the end of this scene, and in the first movie he is bitten, and presumably made undead.

Both Eva and Larry allow themselves to be turned. Eva tells Weasel she should have never made him wait all those years to be with her, and that this was her choice. Ed then sinks his fangs into her. Larry finds his daughter Ruth in the town dump with Dud Rogers and a mess of other vamps. He begs Ruth to take him and make him one of them. They decide not to, but eat him instead.

The vampire kids trick him outside and into his school bus. Once inside they shut the door and block him in it. The bus contains several young vampires that attack him.

Father Callahan visits Matt in the hospital. Having turned to the dark side, he murders Matt by running his cane into Matt's chest.

Chief Parkins forced Larry to tell the truth about how Straker ended up in their town. He found out that Larry owned the house, and not Straker. He demanded to know why. After a brief struggle he had Larry admit the truth. He passed this onto Ben and Jimmie later in the movie.

Jimmie died right before this scene. He walked into a trap set by the vampires hiding in Eva's basement. He fell through the stair case onto a running table saw. In the book Jimmie fell down into the basement onto stakes sticking up out of the floor. In the first movie Ben and Mark find Barlow in the Marsten house cellar, instead of Susan Norton.

It is in Ximico that Ben kills Susan in the first movie. She also tries to convince Ben to join her and attempts to bite him. In this movie Susan delivers Ben the message that all those years ago Ronnie Barnes was never alive in the Marsten house. Ben was not responsible for that death, and it was time to forgive himself.

Mark smothers him while in the hospital. After he tells Ben that it is over, Ben dies.

Nurse: "I don't believe you, I can't." He opens the locked door, allowing Mark to escape, and says "God bless." The movie ends showing the medical team trying to revive Ben. Christopher Kirby played the nurse who did believe the story, but had to leave it behind him to go on.
