When the countdown finishes the ship doesn't explode, a milkshake and a crispy bar pop out of a dispensing machine instead. They discover that the dispensing machine were connected to the warning but not the bomb.

Rimmer: "What!"
Holly: "I got rid of it ages ago."

When Rimmer lands on a desert planet and tries to create a female clone of himself, all he manages to do is create an identical replica of himself. When the other three arrive to rescue him, the planet is populated by thousands of identical replicas of Rimmer. Because they look different and don't display self centered personality traits, they are to be executed.

Rimmer sees Lister's son Bexley get blown up while operating some instruments in the control room. He mistakes him for Lister and Lister thinks he's about to get blown up operating the same instruments.

He then sees a future version of himself who explains it was Bexley who got blown up not Lister.

The planet they are on when Lister gets the leech stuck to him is a psi moon where it terraforms to mimic a persons psyche. Rimmer was constantly a disappointment to his parents and when it terraformed to mimic Rimmer's psyche, the leeches have the face of his mother.
