Remembering Edmund and Maria Trivia Quiz

Edmund started to date Maria fresh off of breaking up with Brooke English. When they went on their first date, it was at a country western bar. They eventually got engaged and married for the first time in March of 1994. In real life, the actor and actress who played Edmund and Maria, John Callahan and Eva LaRue, got married on November 30th, 1996.

They announced their break up in 2004 and were officially divorced in 2005.

Edmund and Maria resided at Vadzel when they honeymooned in Budapest. While they were at Vadzel on their honeymoon, they found out that Anton Lang was Dimitri Marick's son and Vadzel's housekeeper, Corvina, was Anton's mother. Dimitri, eventually, confessed to Anton that he was his biological father.

Right after Edmund and Maria got married for the first time in March of 1994, Del Henry came to town to reunite with his sister, Dixie, in order to get her kidney since he was dying. He ran into Maria and this was when Maria started getting flashbacks of how she was pregnant with Del's child while they were lovers in college. Maria confessed to Edmund that she had a self-induced miscarriage.

This caused Maria to be infertile and not be able to have children at that time. She and Edmund came up with the idea to adopt a child.

Edmund and Maria were thrilled when Joe Martin's granddaughter, Kelsey, agreed to give up her child for adoption. Kelsey gave birth to a son named Sam that Edmund and Maria named him. Kelsey, at one point, wanted Sam back and she won custody of him. Maria was prepared to leave the country with Sam but Edmund stopped her at the airport.

A distraught Maria sought comfort in Dimitri's arms. Dimitri had just seen Erica in bed with Jonathan Kinder and assumed she slept with him (Jonathan drugged Erica to make it look like they had sex). Maria and Dimitri slept together that night and Skye saw them doing the deed. Sam's biological father, Bobby Warner, convinced Kelsey to return the baby to Edmund and Maria. Maria wound up pregnant but was not sure if the baby was Edmund's and Dimitri's. Skye found out through a paternity test that was taken that Edmund was the baby's biological father. Skye doctored the results to make it look like Dimitri was the father.

Edmund, Maria, and Brooke were heading home on a plane from the company called TransGlobal after Edmund won a Pulitzer Prize. Maria switched seats with Brooke so Brooke and Edmund could do work together. Maria read a letter from Skye in which Skye confessed that Edmund and not Dimitri was Maddie's biological father (Edmund and Maria named the baby Maddie). Skye said that she changed the paternity test results.

When Maria was about to tell Edmund, the plane started malfunctioning and it crashed. The plane went over the cliff with Maria inside but her body was never found.

She was found alive in 2002.

Edmund and Brooke had just gotten married and it was right after the ceremony that Brooke confessed that Maria was alive. Edmund went looking for her and he found her in the stables. They shared a nice reunion but Maria told Edmund that she had no memory of him. Edmund told her he would help her get her memory back.

Maddie was a target since she witnessed the man who killed Chris Stamp. Aidan, Edmund, and Maria teamed up to protect Maddie and hid her out on a boat. It was here that Maria slowly got some memories back, such as when she read a book to Maddie when she was an infant, her church wedding to Edmund in 1994, and Erica delivering Maddie in the cabin at Willow Lake.

It was not until Chris Stamp's killer threw Maddie into the ocean that Maria dove in to rescue Maddie. When she did, she got all of her memories back and rescued Maddie.

She told Edmund that she remembered everything shortly after and she and Edmund remarried.

Answer: When Edmund took Sam from her at the airport

Edmund decided to take matters into his own hand and drug Maria's drink, despite David's warning that the FDA needed to approve the drug first since he had no idea of what the side effects were. Maria woke up screaming and that was when she said she dreamed of how some man took her child away from her at the airport. Edmund told Maria this actually happened and then Maria got sick. Edmund confessed to Maria that he drugged her, which she did not appreciate.

Maria was happy with her life but then Zach Slater found her in Pine Valley and told her he wanted to reclaim her love. While Maria was am amnesiac and went by the name of Maureen Gourman, she fell in love with Zach. Despite all of Zach's pleas of love, Maria remained committed to Edmund but Edmund was secretly plotting divorce behind her back. Edmund was murdered in February of 2005 and Zach confessed to the crime.

The real culprit was Jonathan Lavery.

Mateo, who owned Sounds of Salsa, helped to recreate Edmund and Maria's first wedding date in an effort to jog Maria's memory. Despite this, Maria did not get any memories back. However, she still had fun when she, Edmund, and a bunch of their friends and family danced to some country western songs.
