Dorothy, played by Bea Arthur is seeing walking toward the door, followed by Blanche, played by Rue McClanahan. Blanche was trying to make sure that Dorothy packed everything for her cruise. Dorothy was bragging that she was going on a cruise with a doctor and for Blanche to make sure she watched Sophia, played by Estelle Getty.

Rose, played by Betty White, was talking to Blanche on the couch. She told Blanche that her boyfriend Miles, played by Harold Gould, was tight. Blanche went on to say that she loved a tight man. Blanche thought she meant that Miles was physically tight instead of cheap.

When Rose came home from the grocery store, Blanche told her that she had come up with the perfect answer to her problem with Miles. She told Rose that she should cheat on Miles. When Rose found out that she could eat what she wanted and didn't have to leave the tip, she took the blind date.
