Tom Hanks played a character named Jeff Morrow, Mister Short Term Memory. Jeff Morrow stood under a tree, was hit in the head by a falling object and lost his short term memory. With his condition, Jeff Morrow went on a blind date, played on a game show and visited a friend in the hospital.

On the October 8th, 1988 episode of "Saturday Night Live", Tom Hanks introduced some outtakes from his hit movie from that summer titled "Big". In the outtakes, the adult version of Hanks' character Josh Baskin was shown bullying his junior high classmates.

The roadie convinced Aerosmith to appear on the "Wayne's World" sketch. The band sing the "Wayne's World" theme with Wayne and Garth.

Tom Hanks hosted the May 9, 1992 of "Saturday Night Live" as a substitute for Joe Pesci. Pesci was still filming the the 1992 comedy movie "Home Alone 2" at the time of the episode's airing.

After the monologue, Tom Hanks was backstage with the male members of the cast. Tom Hanks paid tribute to Joe Pesci by doing an impersonation of Pesci's Tommy DeVito character from the 1990 film "Goodfellas". Hanks did Tommy DeVito's "What do you mean I'm funny?" dialogue with cast member Phil Hartman.

Members of the group received the opportunity to park in the handicapped space at Joe Gally's brother's convenience mart. The members of the group decided at the meeting to call Mister Belvedere "Brocktoon". A comedian visited the meeting and thought everyone was crazy. The comedian was put a big jar by the members of the group at the end of the sketch.

On the October 22, 2016 episode of "Saturday Night Live", Beck Bennett and Kate McKinnon visited the "100 Floors of Frights" haunted mansion. In this mansion, 73 out of 100 floors were haunted by a character David S. Pumpkins and his two skeletons. David S. Pumpkins, played by Tom Hanks, said that he was "his own thing".

Alec Baldwin offered his services but was rejected. Hanks said he would win the senior vote because he fought in World War Two in several of his movies. Johnson said he would win the minority vote. Both actors said they could handle any situation due to their acting experience.
