Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "The Seinfeld Chronicles", what is the name of Kramer's dog?

Answer: Ralph

Kramer's dog doesn't really serve a purpose in the storyline and is never seen again. Ralph is referred to by his name in the script. This episode was originally going to be called "Good News, Bad News", but was changed for syndication to fit in with the theme of all the episodes starting with 'The'.

It was also going to be called "The Pilot", but that was changed as well so it wouldn't be confused with season four's episode. This episode also features one of the few times Kramer knocks on Jerry's door.

The conversation at the beginning was used again in the series finale.
2. What is the number on Jerry's apartment in "Male Unbonding"?

Answer: 411

This number changes to 3A in the beginning of season 2 but changes to 5A later in the season for the rest of the series. An alternate ending for this episode is where Horneck asks Jerry if he can date Elaine. Jerry then breaks up with him once and for all. Horneck then replies, "I'll see you next week when I return that tape I borrowed." Elaine's character was going to be called Eileen but was changed right before production.
3. You can find the answer to this question in the 'Notes about Nothing' in the first release of the first volume of region 1 "Seinfeld" DVDs. In "The Stock Tip", one of the cast members plays a practical joke on the cast and crew. This person has a woman come into Jerry's apartment and strip down to a g-string while in rehearsal. Which cast member pulled this joke?

Answer: Michael Richards

Obviously, this was not seen on the episode or even on the DVDs. After this episode aired, NBC ordered 13 more episodes to be made of the show. This was the last episode to be filmed at Ren-Mar Studios in Hollywood. The rest were filmed at CBS Studio Center in Studio City, California.
4. In "The Busboy", exterior footage for the busboy's apartment was used again in what season 2 episode?

Answer: The Heart Attack

It was used for Tor Eckman's apartment. He was the hostilic health care healer that tried to heal George in the episode. This is the only episode that doesn't feature a storyline for Jerry. Castle Rock executive Glenn Padnick thought Jerry was being too generous to his co-stars.
5. In "The Chinese Restaurant", Jerry mentions he has a brother.

Answer: False

Jerry mentions he has a sister. This sister is never mentioned again in the series. This is one of the two episodes that do not feature Kramer. Although many viewers disagree, NBC thought "The Chinese Restaurant" wasn't as good as some of the episodes of the season. When Elaine approaches the table to eat their dinner, you can hear Larry David talking if you listen closely.
6. Larry David was dissatisfied with "The Stranded" and delayed the airing of the episode until which season?

Answer: 3

When it aired, Jerry Seinfeld came on and explained the continuity error. This episode guest-starred actor Michael Chiklis. This episode was nominated for an Writer's Guild Award. The line, "Maybe a dingo ate your baby," was taken from Meryl Streep's movie, "A Cry in the Dark".
7. The gang's coffee shop is first referred to as Monk's in "The Statue".

Answer: True

Jerry calls it Monk's when he tells Ray to meet him there. It is first said in this episode that Kramer has a girlfriend. She never appears on screen. He doesn't have his first on screen romance until the third season. Jerry's door has now changed to 5A for the rest of the season and series.
8. In 'The Heart Attack', Kramer first mentions a never-seen friend of his. What is his friend's name?

Answer: Bob Saccamanno

Kramer tells George about his friend Bob who had a hernia operation and had many bad side effects. In case you were wondering, I found two different sources that spell the last name different ways. It is said later in the series that Jerry and George are the same age, except we find out George is 33 in "The Heart Attack" and Jerry is 36 in "The Stranded". Larry David appears in the B-movie Jerry is watching late at night.

The person in the bed next to George's is Pat Hazell who did the audience warm-ups regulary at the show's start.
9. Finish this quote from "The Phone Message" by Carol, George's girlfriend: "Your father wears ________ in the pool?"

Answer: Sneakers

George tells Carol this to get her distracted so Jerry can switch the answering machine tapes. Jerry's apartment number is 3A for this episode. It later changes to 5A in "The Statue". "Seinfeld" was put on a two-month hiatus after this episode. The show's ratings were so low was the reason this happened.

Instead of "The Apartment", the episode after "The Phone Message" was supposed to be "The Bet" where Elaine buys a gun from one of Kramer's friends. It was dropped because of the episode's content and replaced close to production.

This quote was also said in "The Puffy Shirt".
10. We see Elaine do her first 'Get Out' shove in which of these episodes?

Answer: The Apartment

She does it to Jerry when he tells her how cheap she can get the apartment above him. This was the first episode to air on Thursday night after "Cheers". Jerry's apartment building's low shower pressure is talked about in this episode. A whole episode is made about it in season seven. George uses an unnamed fictional wife in the series often.

It is revealed in this episode her occupation is an entomologist.
