After he took Emily and Katie to college for their first day, we immediately saw their contrast in personality, as Katie made every attempt to talk about herself, whilst Emily quietly followed her round. Katie seemed adamant on making friends with Effy, whom she saw as the other popular girl.

Answer: Naomi

Naomi is laughed at in the first episode after her full name (Naomi Campbell) is read out in the welcome assembly.

She is portrayed as intelligent, but quite hard, as she has been subject to bitchiness and rudeness from Katie for many years. In episode 3, Emily finally told Katie that it was her that kissed Naomi, and not the other way round. Emily blamed this act on drugs and Katie now became slightly more tolerant of Naomi.

Whilst distracted, singing "London's Burning", Pandora and her mother didn't notice Katie pouring the drugs into the brownie mix. Brownies just happen to be Pandora's mother's guilty pleasure and she ate several of them. This caused her to do some rather odd things, such as laughing at the way the jelly shook as well as dancing to music which was not even playing! She eventually tired herself out and was put to bed.

Katie, having earlier made up with Naomi, also saw her and Emily kissing on the bouncy castle. Her attentions quickly shifted to her boyfriend and his footballer friends, who had arrived at the party despite being told by Katie that it was girls only.

JJ was shocked at the sight of Emily and Naomi kissing and, in the now full-blown party, became "locked on" and had to be rescued by Freddie.

Emily initially denied being gay to her sister, Katie, as well as to Naomi.

In episode 3, a slip of the tongue caused her to answer "which one are you?" with "gay". However, the full confession came in episode 7, when she met JJ at the doctor's clinic. The news came as quite a shock to JJ, who quickly became over stimulated and fainted. JJ later let this secret slip to Freddie and Katie.

Emily was let into Naomi's home early in the episode and waited with an application for student president in the hope of convincing Naomi to run. Later, the two spent the night in the woods by a waterfall. Despite this, Naomi was still resilient to accept that she had any sort of relationship with Emily.

However, at the end of this episode, Naomi showed a softer side and admitted her true feelings.

Whilst Katie was looking for a quiet group night to exercise her new dominant role in the group, Effy wanted to escape reality for a short period of time. This was due to her grief over her parent's separation, as well as the new relationship between Freddie and Katie.

Katie (aside from JJ) was the only member of the group who refused to take the mushrooms, and is rather annoyed at those who did, including her sister, Emily, and boyfriend, Freddie.

Answer: Effy hit Katie with a rock

The conversation was surreal, even to viewers, as it was hard to tell whether Effy was hallucinating, or Katie was messing with her head. Katie quickly switched emotions, from friendliness, to sadness, to anger. Katie was shown to attack Effy, pushing her to the floor and telling her not to take Freddie away from her. Effy broke this struggle by, in a frightened state, grabbing a rock and hitting Katie on the head.

Answer: Emily took the exam for her

Using makeup, Emily gave herself fake bruises around the eyes and wore a bandage on her head. The disguise fooled the teachers and the gossiping girls at college, but JJ noticed the difference immediately, as did Naomi.

Katie admitted that Emily is smarter than her anyway and so would probably have done a better job in the exam, but a problem arises as her mum told her that she rang up the school already to arrange for Katie to take the test another time.

Emily admitted to her parents that she was gay in episode 9, but they were convinced that she was making it up.

Whilst shopping for dresses, Katie was told by Freddie about how JJ and Emily had sex. Katie later used this information against Naomi in an attempt to break her and Emily up. Despite being warned to stay away from the ball, Naomi turned up and Emily learned about how Katie had told Naomi about her and JJ.

The final minutes of the episode saw Katie finally accepting Emily for who she is.
