"Skins": Following Freddie Trivia Quiz

Freddie is a terrific skateboarder and whizzed down the hill in episode 1 to meet friends, Cook and JJ. When he did arrive, he was offered a lager breakfast by Cook. This was also the morning where he first met Effy and later found that they were to attend the same college.

Freddie was seen skateboarding several times during the series and his injuries were frequent - he had a grazed chin and cuts on his hands on arms in several scenes.

Freddie is the main character in this series of "Skins" and is more level-headed than most of his friends, but when compared to characters such as Cook, this is not a difficult accolade to hold.

Episode 5 chronicles Karen's journey through the reality TV show, "Search for a Sexxbomb", which seeks to find a third member of the girl group with the same name. Freddie became very annoyed at the way Karen used their mother's death as a way of gaining sympathy on the show. Karen, however, claimed that it was her "story" - something which every contestant on that type of show needs. Freddie became even more annoyed with Karen after his shed, a place where he and his friends hang out, was converted into a place for his sister to practice her dance routines before the final show.

Freddie finally gave his support to Karen, joining their father in the crowd of the live final. After a narrow loss, the family returned home and Freddie tried to comfort his sister. Later, Cook and JJ arrived and Cook declared that the number of votes Karen lost by was similar to the number of people in his uncle's pub whom he instructed to vote against her.

This was in retaliation to Karen taking away his hangout (Freddie's shed). Freddie was angered by this and, on top of the anger from having found out that Cook had slept with his sister, he head-butted his former friend and told him to leave.

Effy, as a result of her parent's separation, refused to reveal her true feelings for Freddie and so slept with Cook once again. This came after the argument Cook and Freddie had following Karen's loss in the reality competition, "Search for a Sexxbomb". Freddie, understandably, was confused as to Effy's motives and took this as a sign of rejection.

Clearly still holding feelings for Effy, Freddie was acting out by sleeping with Katie.

JJ was visiting to tell Freddie to take more notice of him and to stop fighting with Cook, Emily was there for moral support, and Karen was there for amusement, as she knew Katie was in Freddie's room.

Freddie, Cook and JJ feature in a picture where they are dressed as these literary characters. The picture is mostly used to provide a contrast to the relationship between the three during the time in which these episodes were set.

There are several references to when they were younger, such as Freddie and JJ's conversation about their German kindergarten teacher, and how Cook used to try and "ping" his crayons into her bra.

The idea was thought up by Freddie and new girlfriend, Katie. They invited a rather unenthusiastic Effy on account of her being able to drive. Due to the dislike of Cook (mainly from Katie), it was agreed that he should not be invited.

Lost, the group were forced to ask for directions at a petrol station. However, the men who provided the directions turned out to be poachers and they followed the group to their destination in order to scare them.

Answer: The bags were missing

After waking up, Effy noticed that the bags had gone missing. Shortly after telling the group, gunshots were heard around them and they could hear distorted screaming and rustling in the bushes. Freddie quickly took charge and told everyone to put the fire out, turn the lights off, and get on the floor.

The rustling and screaming turned out to be the immature actions of Cook and the gunshots were those of poachers.

Answer: Effy rang him

Freddie was in a depressed state and did not know what to do. JJ tried to get him out of this downward spiral, but the change came when Effy phoned to tell Freddie that she loves him. When he arrived, he agreed to take part in the Solstice Steeplechase against Cook, with Effy as the prize.

Answer: Knocked Cook's dad out

Cook had taken the keys to his dad's boat-home after finding out he intended to leave town without him. His dad did not take this well and, after some harsh words, resorted to threatening violence with a flare. Before his dad was able to harm him, Cook was saved by Freddie. The two then discussed the dilemma of Effy and how they both love her.
