Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of Stan's dog, who makes his appearance in an early season one episode?

Answer: Sparky

Sparky is Stan's pet dog, who makes his first appearance in the season one episode "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride", and is part-Pit Bull and part-wolf. Having a thing for pink bandanas and pearly collars, Sparky was voiced by none other than actor George Clooney of "ER" and "Ocean's Eleven" fame.
2. Which "South Park" character once had a pet elephant?

Answer: Kyle

Kyle once had a pet elephant, as seen in early season one (the name of the episode is a little inappropriate to mention here!) He says that he ordered it from Africa and got it only after three weeks of waiting. But his mum won't let him keep it in the house so when he learns about genetic engineering, he thinks that splicing his elephant's DNA with that of Cartman's pet pig will let him create small pig-sized elephants that everyone can keep at home.
3. The name of Cartman's pet pot-bellied pig is Porky.

Answer: False

Cartman's pet pig is called Fluffy and is also introduced in the first season in the episode with the inappropriate title. Kyle gets the pig drunk in the hopes that it would mate with his elephant to create pot-bellied elephants. Fluffy makes a few other small appearances throughout the series.
4. Stan gets given a pet fish by his Aunt Flo, but he soon develops a great fear for the fish. Why?

Answer: It kills people

Stan's spooky fish - in the episode of the same name - kills people, hence his fear of the fish his aunt gave him. When the corpses start piling up, Stan's mother believes that his son is the killer and starts burying the bodies in the backyard so that no one takes away her little angel. We find out later that Stan's fish was from an evil alternate universe, along with most of the other animals at the pet store it was bought from.
5. The Jakovasaurs, which became "pets" of the unwilling people of South Park, were a spoof of which widely-disliked movie character?

Answer: Jar Jar Binks

The Jakovasaurs, which appeared in a season three episode, were spoofs of the much disliked Jar Jar Binks from "Star Wars Episode One : The Phantom Menace". Trey Parker and Matt Stone created these characters after watching "The Phantom Menace", which had been released the previous month.

It goes without saying that these annoying Jakovasaurs might be saying something not so nice about George Lucas' creation!
6. Which "South Park" character is constantly yelling at his pet cat?

Answer: Cartman

Cartman can be heard yelling at his cat Mister Kitty, who actually is a *female* cat, throughout the entire series, especially when there's food around.
7. Which character has a pet turkey in the season four episode "Helen Keller: The Musical"?

Answer: Timmy

The disabled kid Timmy befriends a *special* turkey in this episode, which he names "Gobbles". He spends time trying to teach him to jump through a ring of fire so that Gobbles can impress the audience when they come to see the kids' Thanksgiving musical about Helen Keller.
8. Cartman once got a pet Phonics Monkey to help him with what?

Answer: His spelling

Cartman was given a Phonic Monkey by his mum in the third season episode "Hooked on Monkey Fonics" to help him with his spelling. The monkey plays a drum beat and that supposedly helps a child learn to spell and read!
9. What kind of animal is the fourth grade class pet, Lemmiwinks?

Answer: A gerbil

Lemmiwinks is the fourth grade class' pet gerbil. In the sixth season episode "The Death Camp of Tolerance", Lemmiwinks ends up on a very surreal adventure, complete with medieval-style theme tune.
10. Although not quite a pet, which "South Park" character usually has a bird nesting in her hair?

Answer: Mrs Crabtree

Mrs Crabtree, the school bus driver, has a little green bird nesting in her hair.
