Pete is the one who invented the beefy bake. He never got credit for it, as the man he was working for stole the recipe. Pete takes him to court, and was about to get compensation when he gets drunk, and accepts a globe with whiskey bottles inside it.

Jack is diagnosed with a heart condition, and he needs a bypass. Jack collapsed in the kitchen causing all of the residents of Craiglang to worry for him. Victor was also feared to have a heart condition as he fell down the stairs, but he gets the all clear.
