Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which two female survivors won at least three individual immunity challenges (in a consecutive manner)?

Answer: Darrah Johnson and Kelly Wiglesworth

Kelly won four straight individual immunity challenges in "Survivor: Borneo". She practically swept the competition in the immunity challenges department beginning in the Final 6 all the way to the Final 3. Darrah won three straight individual immunity challenges, which guaranteed her safety during Nights 30, 33, and 36 in "Survivor Panama: Pearl Islands". Jenna Morasca won four individual immunity challenges in "Survivor: The Amazon", but not in a consecutive manner.

She won the 2nd, 5th (in which Jenna gave up her immunity necklace to Heidi), 7th, and 8th individual immunity challenges in that season. Amanda also won more individual immunity challenges than Darrah with four wins.

However, she won them in two separate seasons: two in "Survivor: China", and two in "Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites".

Interestingly, those challenges Amanda won happened to be the last two individual immunity challenges in both seasons.
2. What is the nickname that was given to female castaway Jessica Kiper?

Answer: Sugar

Sugar competed in "Survivor: Gabon", finishing behind Bob and Susie, respectively. Although she already had a level of television exposure prior to her joining Survivor, Jessica Kiper was referred to as Sugar by her tribemates, Jeff Probst, and the audience. Shambo is the nickname of Shannon from "Survivor: Samoa", while Shii Devil is the nickname of Shii Ann who played in both "Survivor: Thailand" and "Survivor: All-Stars".
3. How many tribes were, at some point, officially not consisting of any male members? (Twists such as visitations to other camps, going to exile island, any other twist that does not result to changing a member's buff, and a season ending with a female winner, should be deemed irrelevant.)

Answer: Nine

"Survivor: Marquesas" produced the first all-female tribe, SOLIANTU, when Paschal English was eliminated from the game on Night 38 through his picking of a purple rock, leaving Neleh Dennis, Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien, and the then immunity challenge winner Vecepia Towery, to fill the final three slots.

The JABURU tribe in "Survivor: The Amazon" was initially an all-female tribe, consisting of Jeanne, Christy, Janet, Shawna, Joanna, Jenna Morasca, Deena, and Heidi. Lillian Morris made the BALBOA tribe a male-free tribe on Night 38 in "Survivor Panama: Pearl Islands" when she voted off Johnny Fairplay and as a consequence, dragging Sandra to the finals.

The YASUR tribe in "Survivor: Vanuatu", like the Jaburu tribe, was initially an all-female tribe, its original members being Julie, Scout, Eliza, Mia, Dolly, Ami, Twila, LeAnn, and Lisa. Stephenie LaGrossa is responsible for two male-free tribes, the first being ULONG in "Survivor: Palau", when Stephenie defeated her last Ulong tribe mate, Bobby Jon Drinkard, in a firemaking challenge in Episode 8.

The XHAKUM tribe in "Survivor: Guatemala", ended with Danni Boatwright and Stephenie in the final two to the demise of Rafe. "Survivor Panama: Exile Island" produced two all-female tribes: the BAYONETA tribe, better known as the "Younger Women" tribe, which was made up of Sally, Danielle, Courtney, and Misty, and the CASAYA tribe, better known as the "Older Women" tribe, which was originally made up of Ruth Marie, Cirie, Melinda, and Tina. By Day 4, through a twist, Bayoneta was gone and Casaya became a co-ed tribe. Parvati Shallow, Amanda Kimmel, Natalie Bolton, and Cirie Fields made up the final four of "Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs Favorites", and hence were the last four members of the merged tribe, DABU, after Erik, the last man standing of the season, was blindsighted.
4. Which female survivor became the victim of the double elimination twist which was imposed on a tribe that suffered the said twist in a single tribal council?

Answer: Jenny Guzon-Bae

When the castaways of "Survivor: Cook Islands" were down to eleven, the Rarotonga tribe lost the immunity challenge and collectively was not aware of the larger consequence of such loss. After voting off Rebecca in unison, the remaining 6 members of the tribe learned that they have to vote another member that night.

In a 4-2 decision, Jenny paid the price of such twist and became the 3rd member of the jury, with both Parvati and Candice having a hand in sealing her fate.
5. What title was given to Cindy Hall, the Zookeeper from "Survivor: Guatemala", for being in love with something?

Answer: Coffee Queen

Cindy loves coffee. When Danni, Stephenie, Judd, and Gary brought back to camp some coffee as part of their reward during a reward challenge held for the Final 8 survivors, Cindy was not able to hide her delight. It is true though that Cindy loves animals, that she won the car challenge, and that corn was food of the season in "Survivor: Guatemala".
6. Which three female survivors were lucky (or unfortunate) enough to be able to sit at the jury section in Foa Foa's tribal councils?

Answer: Laura, Shambo, and Yasmin

Foa Foa was a tribe from "Survivor: Samoa", and Laura, Shambo, Kelly, Monica, and Yasmin were all part of the opposing tribe, Galu. Yasmin listened to Foa Foa's tribal council wherein Betsy was voted out. Shambo had been to Foa Foa's tribal council twice, wherein Ben and Ashley were voted out in two separate tribal councils. Laura was sent to Foa Foa's tribal council and was able to witness Liz's elimination from the game.
7. What do Parvati Shallow, Teresa Cooper, and Shii Ann Huang have in common?

Answer: They won the same individual immunity challenge

The three women won that "bucket of water" individual immunity challenge, where they "outstretched" their competitors' arms to prevent the bucket, which was directly above their heads and connected to their wrists, from spilling the water (which was colored in "Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs Favorites") over them. Shii Ann won this challenge in "Survivor: All-Stars". Parvati won this challenge twice in two separate seasons: the first one in "Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs Favorites", and the second one in "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains", in which the said challenge had a slight modification to include a more difficult foothold to stand on.

This challenge is the first individual immunity challenge in "Survivor: Africa", and Teresa won. All three players played in seasons that featured tribe shuffling/swapping of members.

Although both Shii Ann and Parvati stayed with their original Mogo Mogo and Rarotonga tribes, respectively (although Parvati went from being a member of Malakal to becoming a member of Airai in "Survivor MIcronesia: Fans vs Favorites"), Teresa, a member of the Samburu tribe, became a member of the Boran tribe in the first ever Survivor twist of this kind in "Survivor: Africa". Regarding the Survivor Intro theme music video, both Parvati and Shii Ann are second from last, Shii Ann in "Survivor: All-Stars", and Parvati in both "Survivor: Cook Islands" and "Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs Favorites" (she is 13th though in the Intro theme music video of "Survivor: Heroes vs Villains").

Interestingly, Shii Ann is second from first in the Intro theme of "Survivor: Thailand". Teresa is eighth in the "Survivor: Africa" Intro theme. As for the ice cream at the auction, it is a common experience of the three to having not won ice cream for themselves.
8. What was the occupation label of the very first person to be sent to a separate island to live in isolation for a period of time?

Answer: Vegas Showgirl

Janu Tornell, the Vegas Showgirl from "Survivor: Palau" (the 10th installment), was sent to a separate island to live on her own after being the first one out of the individual immunity challenge set for the Final 8. Such a concept of sending a person to a separate island was routinized only beginning in the 12th season which is "Survivor Panama: Exile Island", where then labeled " Missile Engineer" Misty Giles became the first person to ever be sent to a separate island given the formal name of "Exile Island". Sylvia the "Architect" and Taj the "Former Pop Star", though both had Exile Island experience, came only into Survivor existence in "Survivor: Fiji" (the 14th season), and "Survivor: Tocantins" (the 18th season), respectively.
9. What item did Jeff Probst believe would make Jaime Dugan a liability for her yellow, "Fighting Tiger" tribe, if she allows its absence to get in the way of either in challenges or in camp life?

Answer: Bra

Jaime and the rest of the 15 castaways who competed in "Survivor: China" learned that the clothes they were wearing would be it for them. Jaime was worried because she wasn't wearing a bra, so Jeff commented that it might be a liability, but Jeff also mentioned that not having bra might make her very popular.
10. In a rather emotional discussion with a two-time co-castaway of his, Ethan Zohn referred to someone as undeserving to be in the game. Who did the "Survivor: Africa" winner believed as undeserving?

Answer: Jerri Manthey

When the "Survivor" All-Stars" cast were down to 11, Lex told Ethan that he was the next one to go. However, Ethan thought that Jerri, a contestant from "Survivor: The Australian Outback", should be the one going instead of him and said to Lex, "Jerri does not deserve to be here". During a reward challenge, both Alicia and Shii Ann were answers of the Top 7 to the question "Which Survivor does not deserve to be in All-Stars?", although Alicia was the correct answer as predetermined by a survey filled out by the Top 7 themselves.
