Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was the first victim of the Text Message Killer?

Answer: Laticia

Though she never received a text message before her death, Laticia was the first victim. And after the killer was revealed it was explained that she was never a target, merely just a case of at the wrong place at the wrong time.
2. The second person to die at the hands of the Text Message killer died at the Black & White Ball.

Answer: True

Emily tragically became the second victim and was killed during the Black & White Ball during the blackout. This was so sad especially since she had just accepted Nikolas' marriage proposal. Nickolas suppressed the memory and believed he was the one that killed Emily.
3. Who was the third person killed by the Text Message Killer?

Answer: Georgie

Georgie thought the killer was Coop. When she got a message meant for Maxie from the killer, she waited for the killer in the park, ready to dial 911 so the cops would catch the killer. When Georgie saw Coop walking through she thought her suspicions were confirmed and scratched at Coop until he left. When the real killer showed up she was so surprised that she dropped her phone.
4. Did Coop kill himself?

Answer: No

The killer knew Coop was getting close to figuring it out, so he made it look like a suicide, throwing the blame on Coop in the process. This turned out to be a bad idea since Coop had called Jason telling him he had something he needed to tell him, but when Jason got there he was already dead.

This created doubt in Jason's mind about Coop being the killer and had Spinelli start checking out other possibilities.
5. Why were none of the text messages traceable?

Answer: The killer used a piggyback device.

Though he might have also had a disposable cell phone this was never mentioned. Spinelli tried to trace messages sent by the killer several times for Sonny & Jason, but discovered that the messages came from impossible sources (like Mike). Then it was explained by Spinelli that a piggyback device could be used to get that effect.
6. The Text Message Killer tried to kill Lulu several times.

Answer: False

Lulu was never a target and was never in the killer's way. This might have had something to do with a friendship she had with the killer.
7. Did Kristina see the killer walking around without his mask?

Answer: Yes

Once the killer was revealed, it was understandable why Kristina went back into a catatonic state after seeing the killer's face.
8. How did the killer get around town without being seen?

Answer: Sewers

The sewer was the lead Coop was pursuing when he was killed, and revealed by Maxie & Spinelli's detective work.
9. A shocking twist was revealed when the true Text Message Killer was revealed. But before it was revealed, how many other people had fingers pointed in their direction as the Text Message Killer?

Answer: 3

Johnny Zacchara was an early suspect, but when the DNA under Georgie's fingernails didn't match he was eliminated as a suspect, plus he was with Lulu a lot during other attempts.
The DNA results and "suicide" pointed the finger at Coop, who the police actually announced was the killer after his "suicide", but Maxie insisted he was innocent and Jason had his doubts that Coop was the killer, so Maxie and Spinelli kept digging and found evidence of his innocence.
Their first attempt at solving the case pointed the finger at Logan. When Lulu went to confront Logan and found a piggyback device and ski mask in his apartment he grabbed her (making him look even more guilty). After breaking from his grip, Lulu hit Logan on the head with a wrench causing him to slip into a coma. While in a coma the Text Message Killer kidnapped Sam, proving it wasn't Logan.
10. Who was the Text Message Killer?

Answer: Diego Alcazar

I was so incredibly shocked when they revealed Diego was the killer. General Hospital did an excellent job at keeping this a secret but yet it completely fit in to the killer's motives.
Laticia - 1st victim, wrong place/wrong time, the intended target was Carly
Carly - attempted at the Black & White Ball, but survived, Diego said she broke his father's heart
Emily - 2nd victim, killed at the Black & White Ball, Jason took his father away from him, so he took away someone he really loved (his sister)
Maxie - attempted at the Scorpio household, but survived thanks to little sis Georgie, Diego wanted to get back at Maxie for sending him to Jail.
Georgie - 3rd victim killed in the park, again this was wrong place/wrong time, Diego sent a message for Maxie to meet him in the Park and Georgie showed up instead, but after she saw his face he killed her. (Only victim he Almost felt sorry about killing)
Coop - 4th victim, Coop's room above Kelly's, when the clean cut cadet was looking a little too close for the killer and was close to figuring it out, Diego made it look like Coup hung himself.
Alexis - attempted on the docks, but Sam came by and saved her. Diego blamed her for the death of his Uncle Luis
Sam - attempted on the docks/scared in the hospital/kidnapped in her apartment. Sam shot and "killed" (so everyone thought) Diego.
Elizabeth - kidnapped, wrong place / wrong time, she was at Sam's apartment to tell Sam she thought she was the one that hit her the night of the accident.
Jason and Lucky (also shot by Diego, but survived) saved Sam & Elizabeth
Nikolas - attempted in the Alcazar Warehouse, Nikolas was trying to kill Diego for killing Emily, but Diego got the upper hand and thought he killed Nikolas and walk out of the room.
Maxie - again survived in the Alcazar Warehouse, Nikolas distracted Diego long enough for her to stab Diego in the leg and get free.
Nadine - attempted, left her for dead at the bottom of the elevator shaft in the Alcazar Warehouse, Nikolas found her and rescued her.
Diego's terror was finally over when he got his feet tangled in ropes during a scuffle with Nikolas, went over a balcony and fittingly strangled himself.
