Off teams went, commencing the back half of their race around the world in Leg 7. Teams opened their clues early in the morning from their departure point in Berlin, Germany and were required to fly more than three thousand miles east to the capital city of Kazakhstan, Almaty. Upon arriving, they could find their first clue waiting at Kazakhfilm Studio.

In addition to this, Kaylynn and Haley, the last place team in Leg 6, were forced to complete a Speed Bump task upon their arrival at the film studios. For this, both team members needed to don prosthetic beards, properly applying them to the approval of make-up artists to continue racing.

Answer: Mongols

Kazakhfilm Studio was the site of teams Detour in Leg 7. For this, teams divided out. Teams completing the 'Great Khan's Spy' Detour option (Leo and Alana, Hung and Chee, and Kaylynn and Haley) needed to watch an action sequence as it filmed and, after it ran its course, answer detailed questions about it. If they failed, they would need to watch the whole sequence over.

In 'Knock Out Guy', teams instead joined the action by learning a choreographed stunt routine to get their clue. Eswar and Aparna, DeAngelo and Gary, Will and James, and Riley and Maddison did this one.

Answer: Yes

When teams finished their Detours, their clue directed them to marked vans outside the studio and they needed to take themselves to a nomad village in Karasay District. Upon arriving, teams could find their next clue and Yield board, allowing one pair to use their marked hourglass, if they so chose, to hold back another team. Kaylynn and Haley ended up using their hourglass, falling to pressure from the other teams and forcing former alliance-mates Leo and Alana to wait for twenty minutes.

Answer: Camel

When teams passed the Yield they could commence a task out in the rolling mountains of Kazakhstan. This started with teams heading out on foot, leading a camel to a yurt and, following a marked example, decorating the interior of the structure. Once teams had their yurts approved they could proceed back to Almaty, find Zelenyi Bazaar, and search for their last clue of the leg in a box overlooking the meat stalls.

Answer: Leo and Alana

When teams found their last clue at the Zelenyi Bazaar they could make their way onward to First President's Park and their seventh Pit Stop to check in with Phil at the mat. Will and James were the first to check in, taking their third win of the race (after Legs 3 and 4).

This time, their prize was a Travelocity trip to Las Vegas to enjoy after the race. The last team to arrive this time was Leo and Alana who, after flunking the Detour for too long and being a victim of the Yield, were eliminated altogether.

Answer: Hyderabad

Teams were warned going into Leg 8 that they would be heading into a Mega-Leg, and with that, they opened their clues in Almaty at the start of their next leg to find they would be spending an extended time in the city of Hyderabad, India. Phil informed all six remaining teams that they would face double the Road Blocks, Double the Detours, and double the distance, and that started with a two thousand mile flight south.

Answer: Pollution

Landing in Hyderabad, teams headed to their taxis and rushed off to Sagar Ring Road to find the Multi Cuisine Restaurant and their clue box. There, by the roadside, teams had to work with a pollution control technician to support the city's well-being. Using a mobile pollution van, teams needed to flag down three auto-rickshaws and assist in performing smog tests, inputting information and using tools to evaluate each vehicle. Once they received the results and certifications, they could receive their next clue.

Answer: Swiggy

Wrapping up their smog tests, teams were pushed into one of two Detour tasks, a choice between 'Food App' and 'Number Trap'. In 'Food App', Hung and Chee and Kaylynn and Haley travelled through the streets of Hyderabad, working with a phone operator for the Swiggy delivery app and completing three meal deliveries.

In 'Number Trap', Eswar and Aparna, DeAngelo and Gary, Will and James, and Riley and Maddison headed to T-Hub and participated in a motion-sensor video game involving binary code to decode to search for their next clue.

Answer: Will and James

Teams hopped back on the race course when they finished their Detour and made their way by taxi to the Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah Mausoleum amongst the Qutb Shahi tombs. There, they found the penultimate Yield of the race and Will and James, the first team to arrive, exercised their ability by leaving their twenty-minute hourglass on Kaylynn and Haley. Once they passed through they could open their Road Block clues.

Answer: Turban

To reach the halfway point of their Mega-Leg, teams first had to finish a Road Block at the mausoleums of Qutb Shahi. There, James, Gary, Eswar, Riley, Chee, and Kaylynn needed to grab a tablet and, using an augmented reality app, search the building's lower columns for three projections of turban-clad men.

Then, they had to head to the roof of the building, find the matching real men, and bring them to their spots as indicated down below. Once they had all three, they would get their next clue and commence the second half of the leg.
