1. Which team was first to arrive at the clue at John Forbes Point in leg 9?

Answer: Weaver

In the beginning of the leg, teams had to drive about 130 miles to Utah and find Monument Valley in Navajo State Park. Once there, teams had to find John Forbes Point for their next clue. To get there, teams were able to drive in campers. Once they got the clue, teams had to choose two members to take a helicopter ride to the summit of Elephant Butte. Teams then drove to Moab, Utah to find Gemini Bridges.
2. What did teams need to ride in the 'Ride Down' Detour task of leg 9?

Answer: Bikes

In 'Ride Down', teams needed to bike six miles into Bull Canyon to receive their clue. The trail was long and grueling, but it was definitely less nerve-wracking than the 'Drop Down' task. The Weaver family completed this task.
3. How many teams completed the 'Drop Down' Detour task of leg 9?

Answer: Three

The Linz, Bransen, and Godlewski families completed this task in leg 9. In the 'Drop Down' task, teams had to rappel 270 feet down a cliff at Gemini Bridges into the canyon to receive their next clue. Teams that were fearless and completed this task finished quicker than the bikers.
Teams then had to drive to Green River State Park where they'd be spending the night.
4. Who yielded a team in leg 9?

Answer: Linz

After leaving the campgrounds, teams needed to travel to Heber City, Utah, to find Bart. Once teams arrived, they needed to receive their clue from Bart the Bear. Teams then needed to go to Utah Olympic Park to find their next clue. The Linzes yielded the Weaver family in this leg. The Weavers have been yielded once before by the Paolo family.
5. Which team was the last to check into the Pit Stop in leg 9?

Answer: Weaver

In the Road Block, teams needed to do a ski jump into a pool at Utah Olympic Park. After completing the Road Block, teams needed to drive to the Pit Stop twenty-eight miles away at the Salt Lake City Library. The Linzes finally claimed their first first-place victory, followed by the Bransens in second, and the Godlewskis in third.

The Weavers were the last to arrive, but Phil informed them that leg 9 was a non elimination leg.
6. Which two teams' hot air balloons hit each other in mid-air?

Answer: Linz and Bransen

In the beginning of leg 10, teams had to head to Park City High School in Park City, Utah. Once there, teams had to take a number and work to inflate a hot air balloon the next morning. Once they did this, they'd need to fly across the Utah countryside to their next clue. Their next clue instructed them to travel to the Heber Valley Railway just fourteen miles away.
7. The Bransen family chose to complete the 'Spike It' Detour task.

Answer: True

In 'Spike It', teams needed to use old materials to build a twenty foot section of railway. With precision, the teams could finish quickly. The Linz, Bransen, and Godlewski families finished this task. After their piece was approved by a railroad expert, teams could receive their clue.
8. Which team completed the 'Steam It' Detour task of leg 10?

Answer: Weaver

In 'Steam It', teams needed to load 400 pounds of coal into a wheelbarrow and shovel it into a steam engine to receive their next clue. Although the task involved a lot of brute force, teams which worked together could finish quickly. The Weavers were the only ones to complete this task.
After completing the Detour, teams had to drive to the Bonneville Salt Flats to find the Tree of Utah.
9. The Road Block in leg 10 required two teammates to participate.

Answer: True

After arriving at the Tree of Utah, teams were instructed to head to Garden City and find the Bear Lake Rendezvous Beach. When they arrived, they would get a departure time for the following morning.
Teams then had to drive to the Dunham Ranch in Wyoming to find their Road Block.
In the Road Block, team members needed to saddle up and ride horses in order to move six cows to a corral about a quarter of a mile away. After this, teams would receive their clue.
10. How many teams saw Old Faithful erupt at 4:28 pm?

Answer: Two

After the Road Block, teams drove to Yellowstone National Park in order to find Old Faithful. Once teams viewed one eruption of the geyser, a fireman would hand them their clue instructing them to head to Phil and the mat at a ranch down the highway. The Weavers and Bransens were first to arrive, and Phil informed them that the race wasn't quite over.
