When Otis's brother comes to town, Andy makes Otis a deputy for a while so Otis can impress his brother. When Otis and Andy go to Otis's house to show Otis's wife how he looks in his uniform, his wife asks Andy if Otis has to obey all the laws. When Andy says yes, Otis's wife demands that Otis produce the booze that he is hiding in the house. Otis is then forced to show his hiding place, take out the booze, and then pour it down the sink.
2. In the episode "Mr. McBeevee", what tool does McBeevee give to Opie as a gift?

When Opie meets an electrical lineman named Mr. McBeevee working on wires in the woods, he befriends him and tells Andy and Barney about him. By Opie's description of him, Andy thinks that Mr. McBeevee is just an imaginary friend. When Opie shows Andy an axe that Mr. McBeevee gave him, Andy, thinking that Opie may have stolen the axe, makes him take it back.

When Opie returns with a quarter that McBeevee gave him, Andy demands that Opie stop telling him that it came from his imaginary friend or he will be punished. Andy decides to believe Opie and then finds Mr. McBeevee in the woods where Opie said he would be.

The boys have a change of heart about history and Andy tells them that they should start a history club and call themselves the Mayberry Minutemen who are always ready with the answers.

When Earnest tries to enlist in the Army, he gets turned away for basically being a screwball. He goes on a window breaking spree until caught by Andy and Barney. When Andy tells Ernest that he just wouldn't fit in to the Army, Ernest says that he wasn't going to join and that he was just going in to get a uniform and then leave.

He tells Andy about one of his friends who came back from the Army and got all the girls because of his uniform. To fix the problem, Andy tells Barney to give Ernest his uniform and when he does, Ernest is happy and marches off back to the woods.

When Brisco Darling starts courting Aunt Bee, she tries everything from cleaning him up to making him do chores and housecleaning to discourage him. Finally, she decides to teach him table manners and when he does anything wrong at the dinner table, she swats his hand with a wooden spoon.

After getting swatted for the fourth time, Brisco states the can take the manners, the bossing, and the cleaning up but he ain't about to be beat to death by no spoon.

When Ben Weaver tells Andy and Barney that things are disappearing in his store, they start watching for shoplifters. When Barney stops an old lady in the store and accuses her of stealing, all she has in her bag is her Bible and threatens to sue. Outside, Andy tells Barney he should never accuse anyone inside the store because they can always claim that they were going to buy whatever they have.

When the little old lady comes out, they make her stand on a scale and discover she has a bunch of merchandise under her coat.

At the start of the episode, Opie is playing around with some trick ink that disappears. The ink comes in handy when the Darlings want Opie and Andy to sign a betrothal contract. When they sign the contract, the Darlings watch as the signatures disappear before their eyes. They quickly stop the betrothal thinking that the Taylor family is cursed.

Answer: an electric razor

Opie's father is going to have his birthday soon and Opie wants to get him something nice but he doesn't have much money. At a carnival, he sees an electric razor offered as a prize at a shooting gallery. He ends up spending the few dollars he had and didn't win the razor. Opie asks his friend Goober to try, and he also loses. Goober tells Andy what happened and Andy goes to the carnival to investigate.

He finds that the operators of the gallery are switching good guns for bad ones to make people miss.

When Andy beats them at their own game, he shows them that he is the sheriff and they better give Opie a good gun when he shows up to try again. Opie does win the razor when they give him a good gun.
