1. In the episode "Keeper of the Flame", Opie and his friends get blamed for causing a fire that burns down Jubal Foster's barn. When Andy agrees to pay for damages, what do they find was the real cause of the fire?

Answer: Jubal was running a still and accidentally set the fire himself

When Opie joins a club called the "Wildcats", they hold their meetings in Jubal Foster's barn. Jubal chases the kids off and recognizes Opie. When Jubal talks to Andy, he claims that Opie is one of the trespassers. When Jubal is checking on his still in the barn, he knocks over a lantern and the barn burns down. Jubal then blames Opie and his friends.

When Andy finds a used candle and matches in Opie's room, he decides to pay for Jubal's damages. While Andy and Barney are talking to Jubal, Barney takes a drink of water from a barrel in Jubal's shed.

It turns out that the barrel contains moonshine and Andy then figures out why the barn caught fire so quickly.
2. In the episode "The Pageant", why did Aunt Bee give up the part of playing the role of Lady Mayberry to her friend Clara?

Answer: She didn't want Clara to take care of Andy and Opie

When Clara Edwards can't be in the pageant playing the part of Lady Mayberry, Aunt Bee is asked to take the part. The problem is that Bee not a good actress. When the director tells Andy that he has to tell Bee that they need someone else for the part, Andy doesn't have the heart to do so. Clara returns early from her trip and finds that Bee got the part and is happy for her. Andy then comes up with a plan to have Clara come over and cook for him and Opie while Bee goes to practice for her part. When Clara shows up to take care of Andy and Opie, Bee becomes jealous and gives the part back to Clara.
3. In the episode "Opie's Group", what is the name of Opie's band?

When a member of a local band has to quit due to his grades, Opie gets to take his place. When the band starts playing a lot of gigs, Opie has less time to study, his grades suffer, and he begins to squander his money. Aunt Bee decides to let Clara get involved to see if she can help.

When Andy and Bee come home, they find Clara sitting in and playing piano with the band. Andy gets upset at first but finds that Clara decided to make herself the band manager and is going to help the band save the money they make and only practice and do gigs when it doesn't interfere with their studies.

The name of the band is written on the bass drum.
4. In the episode "Three Wishes for Opie", what was Opie's third wish?

Answer: That Miss Crump would be his sixth grade teacher

When Barney buys a mysterious box at an auction, he is told that it belonged to some Gypsies. Inside are some strange items including a deck of cards and a book. Barney deals out the cards for Opie and then looks in the book to see what the dealt cards means.

It turns out that Opie is to get three wishes. Opie's first two wishes come true and when he starts to make his third wish, Barney stops Opie half way through the wish because he thinks he knows what the wish is. Barney thinks that Opie wants his teacher to marry his dad and Barney tells everyone in town that Andy and Hellen are going to get married.

When the real wish is actually revealed, it also comes true.
5. In the episode "Goober's Contest", how much money did Floyd the barber supposedly win?

When business is slow at the gas station, Goober decides to haves a cash give away contest to drum up business. He has $200 that he can use as prize money and has tickets printed up with small cash prizes totaling $200 dollars. When he gives the prize amounts to the printer, he forgets to add the word 'total' to the $200 and the printer mistakenly prints up a $200 winning ticket along with the small cash prizes. Floyd ends up getting the mistake ticket and threatens legal action if he doesn't get his money.

When Aunt Bee's old boyfriend Roger comes to town, everything seems fine at first until he becomes a nuisance and a boor. When he insinuates that he may stay for a while and take up where he left off with Aunt Bee, Andy becomes concerned. Roger tells Andy that if he had $400, he would be on his way, but if not, he may just settle down in Mayberry. Andy calls Roger's bluff and Roger decides to leave town.

When Barney gets the job of setting up a place for an American and Russian diplomat to have a summit meeting, the original house intended becomes unavailable. The diplomats aren't very happy about the arrangements until they meet late at night in the kitchen while raiding the icebox.

After they have a taste Aunt Bee's southern hospitality and food, they have their summit meeting in the kitchen and everything works out fine.

When a band of Gypsies gets kicked out of town for selling junk merchandise, they put a curse on the town and tell the people that they will have no rain until they are invited back into the town. Unbeknownst to the townspeople, the Gypsies have a short wave radio tuned into the Greenland Advanced Weather radio station so they can tell what the weather will be weeks in advance.

When Opie and his friend put out a small newspaper, they use some of the towns gossip in hopes of selling more papers. Andy thinks that all the papers were picked back up but the reverend already read the statement that Andy thinks that his sermons can sometimes be dry as dust.

They refuse to move until Opie finds Mr. Frizby's rooster and thinks that the rooster is sick. The rooster is wobbling and swaying around uncontrollably. Andy then discovers that the rooster is actually drunk on moonshine and Mr. Frizby is operating a still on the farm.
