Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What state did "The Dukes of Hazzard" take place in?

Answer: Georgia

It took place in the fictitious Hazzard County, Georgia. Actually the first five episodes of the show itself was filmed in Covington, Georgia before moving production to Hollywood for the rest of the run.
2. What kind of car was the General Lee?

Answer: Dodge Charger

It was usually a 1969 Dodge Charger. The producer of the show had Mopar on his mind when he picked out what car it would be.
3. What number was on the side of the General Lee?

Answer: 01

The producers wanted an unusual number for the car, and decided on 01.
4. Which was not a CB handle (or code-name) used by the Duke family?

Answer: Lone Wolf

Shepherd was Jesse, Bo Peep was Daisy, and Lost Sheep was the Duke boys.
5. What was the name of Rosco P. Coltrane's dog?

Answer: Flash

Flash was the name of Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane's lazy basset hound, whom I swear was always carried around.
6. What word was written on the side of Daisy's jeep?

Answer: Dixie

She had a Jeep CJ-5 with "Dixie" written on the side of the hood where you usually saw words such as "Renegade" or "Scrambler". Actually her Jeep was a replacement for the 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner she owned, which the Duke boys ran off a cliff early in the run of the show.
7. The producers of the show went through at least 200 General Lees throughout the show's entire run.

Answer: True

It's estimated that throughout the show's entire 7 year run, the producers went through somewhere between 200 and 300 Dodge Chargers, as that after one of them jumped, enough damage was done to the chassis and under body that it couldn't (and wouldn't) be used anymore. Eventually for the last couple of seasons, a model car was used for jump scenes.
8. Besides white, what other color was used on the sheriff's cars for Chickasaw County?

Answer: Green

9. What was the last name of the Chickasaw County sheriff who was always guarding the border between Hazzard and Chickasaw?

Answer: Little

Sheriff Ed Little, played by Don Pedro Colley, cut out a strange figure in the show. He wore a goofy looking helmet while on duty, as oppose to the snazzy drill-sergeant hats worn by his Hazzard counterparts, and he drove a "green" and white car.
10. What were the names of the two cousins who replaced Bo and Luke for season five?

Answer: Coy and Vance

Coy and Vance Duke, played respectively by Byron Cherry and Christopher Mayer, came in and replaced Bo and Luke when Tom Wopat and John Schneider walked off in protest of not getting their fair share of the profits of the show and merchandise. The show would lose a lot of viewers over it, prompting the producers to settle with Tom and John and bring them back for good.
