Question 1 of 10
1. I'm Lt. Paris, helmsman on Voyager. Captain Janeway had asked me to come on her mission as an advisor, because, well, I was once a member of the Maquis and I got caught. But after that trip into the Badlands, she recommissioned me after the original helmsman died. I am quite the pilot, you know. Hey, I won't salute if you won't. The name's...

Answer: (One Word)
Question 2 of 10
2. I am Lt. Torres, Chief Engineer of Voyager. After that Caretaker brought us into the Delta Quadrant, Captain Janeway put me in charge of Engineering, which really upset the ranking Stafleet Engineering officer on board. But, I know my way around just about anything. If you stay on my good side, maybe I'll let you call me by my first name. Do you know it? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. I am Ensign Wildman, a xenobiologist on Voyager. I hold the honor of being the first woman to give birth on the ship; it's too bad we wound up 70,000 light years from home; my husband would've loved seeing our daughter grow up and become the "Captain's Assistant." What is my first name? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. Hi there. I'm Ensign Kim, operations officer of Voyager. In fact, this ship was my first assignment! I was really excited to be assigned here; after all, it was a brand-new ship designed to go after the Maquis in the Badlands. I did a lot of growing up during our time in the Delta Quadrant, but why am I still an ensign?! Oh, before I forget, my first name is...

Answer: (One Word)
Question 5 of 10
5. My designation is Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero. I was assimilated by the Borg when I was a child. My parents, Magnus and Erin Hansen, were also assimilated. Captain Janeway once tried to call me by my human name. Do you remember what it is?

Answer: (One Word)
Question 6 of 10
6. I am Lt. Carey, an engineer on Voyager. After our incident with the Caretaker, I was named Chief Engineer, that is at least for a little while. The captain then gave the title to a Maquis named Torres. At first I didn't like it, being subordinate to a terrorist, but I gotta admit Torres is good, really good, at her job. If you know my first name, I'll show you my models. Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Hi! I am Captain's Assistant Wildman. My mommy is a scientist on Voyager. I was the first child born on the ship. Sometimes Seven of Nine and I play games together. Do you know my first name? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. I am Captain Janeway. Welcome aboard Voyager. I am very proud of this ship, as well as her crew. You may know my first name, but do you know how it's spelled? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. I'm Lt. Baxter, a crewman on Voyager. Maybe if you know my first name, you can join me in the ship's gym... Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. Hello. I am the ship's Emergency Medical Hologram, or EMH. I was designed to provide emergency medical care to the crew of Voyager, but only on a short-term basis. I praise both Torres and Paris for reconfiguring my matrix so that I may function on a full-time basis, since the assigned doctor died. The man who designed me is Dr. Zimmerman. Can you remember his first name? Be specific -- He does not like his name misspelled.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: Tom

Lt. Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNiell) was the maverick of the crew. He had a penchant for getting into trouble, once resulting in a demotion to Ensign after violating one of Janeway's direct orders. A 20th Century history buff, Paris frequented the holodeck to enact stories from "The Adventures of Captain Proton" (I guess the "Flash Gordon" people wouldn't grant permission); he also had a TV in his quarters (courtesy of Torres), and (in the episode "The '37s") he managed to start up an old 1930s model Ford pickup the crew had found in space.

But his crowning achievement came when he developed the Delta Flyer, a souped-up shuttlecraft that had manual controls, rather than the traditional fingerpads commonly seen on standard Starfleet shuttles.

His middle name is Eugene (presumably in honor of "The Great Bird" himself, Gene Roddenberry). Robert Duncan MacNill (On the set, everyone called him Robbie) started out in "Star Trek" as Cadet Nicholas Locarno, in the "TNG" episode "The First Duty". Locarno was leader of Starfleet Academy's Nova Squadron (of which Wesley Crusher was a member), which had come under investigation after one of its members had died during maneuvers. MacNeill has directed several episodes of "Voyager" (Some of the better ones, if you ask me), as well as episodes of "Dawson's Creek", "Enterprise", and "Everwood".

Answer: B'Elanna

Lt. B'Elanna Torres (Roxann Dawson) had dropped out of Starfleet Academy during her second year and joined the Maquis. Some theorized that she left the Academy after her half-human, half-Klingon heritage made her unmanageably tempermental. She was a member of Chakotay's crew when she found herself in the Delta Quadrant after being pursued by Voyager in the Badlands. When "Voyager" first started, Roxann Dawson was a newlywed. So, for the first three seasons, she was billed under the name Roxann Biggs-Dawson; she did it so that her friends would know it was her under that Klingon makeup! Like Robbie McNeill, she has also taken to the Director's Chair, helming episodes of "Voyager", "Charmed", "Any Day Now", and "Enterprise".

Answer: Samantha

Samantha Wildman (Nancy Hower) did not know she was expecting a child when she signed aboard Voyager. After the Caretaker incident, she discovered her pregnancy but perservered. She gave birth to Naomi on Stardate 49548, while the Voyager crew were dealing with a duplicate of themselves in a very bizarre spacial scission. Samatha's husband was a Ktarian named Greskrendtregk (Some information from startrek.com). Primarily known for her role of Samantha Wildman, Nancy Hower made her acting debut in "Insomnia" (1994).

She has since expanded to behind-the-scenes work with directing, writing, and co-starring in "The Wizard of ID" (2003).

Answer: Harry

Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) was very wet behind the ears at first, but he proved himself a very capable Starfleet officer time after time in the Delta Quadrant. He also played the clarinet from time to time; sometimes he would display his talents for the crew. Personally, I think it would have been nice to see Harry Kim make it to Second Lieutenant.
Southern California native Garrett Wang has ventured into the world of independent films, appearing in "Angry Cafe" (1995), "Ivory Tower" (1998), and "Demon Planet" (2002).

Answer: Annika

Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) was one of the most dynamic characters ever created in "Star Trek" history. Initially dismissed by both critics and fans as little more than sex appeal, Seven proved to be an intelligent character with serious depth. The young Annika Hansen was played by two actresses: Katelin Petersen in "Dark Frontier, Parts I & II", and Erica Lynn Bryan in "The Raven". After "Voyager" wrapped, Jeri Ryan found further success on the FOX drama "Boston Public".

Born in Germany as an Army brat, she was Miss Illinois 1989, as well as third runner-up at the 1990 Miss America Pageant (from www.jerilynn.com).

Answer: Joseph

Lt. Joseph Carey (Josh Clark) initially did have resentment to B'Elanna Torres taking the Chief Engineer position, but he learned to not only get along with her, he also learned a few things about engineering systems that he didn't know before. He liked to build models, and had a ship-in-a-bottle of Voyager that was nearly completed when he died in the line of duty.
Josh Clark has appeared in "Ragtime" and "Big". You may also recognize his voice in the video game "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City".
7. Hi! I am Captain's Assistant Wildman. My mommy is a scientist on Voyager. I was the first child born on the ship. Sometimes Seven of Nine and I play games together. Do you know my first name?

Answer: Naomi

Naomi Wildman (Scarlett Pomers) was half-Ktarian (hence the spikes on her forehead). When she was born, her mother asked Neelix if he could be her godfather, an honor he was proud to have until the day he left the ship.
Scarlett Pomers has had an active career as a child actress. She has appeared in the movies "The Baby-Sitters Club", "Mighty Joe Young" (1998), and "Erin Brockovich". After her work on "Voyager", she joined the cast of the TV sitcom "Reba".
8. I am Captain Janeway. Welcome aboard Voyager. I am very proud of this ship, as well as her crew. You may know my first name, but do you know how it's spelled?

Answer: Kathryn

Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) did unprecedented acts as captain of a starship. After Voyager chased a Maquis ship to the Delta Quadrant, both ships had insufficient crews to make the journey home. So, she invited the Maquis to her ship and had the two crews work together; he had even assigned brevet ranks to the Maquis personnel! Later, she and the Borg found a common enemy in Species 8472, so she entered into a truce with the Borg. This resulted in a few Borg coming aboard the ship. All but one Borg perished -- Seven of Nine. The rest, as they might say, is future history.
Did you know that Geneviève Bujold was originally cast as Captain Janeway? But after only one day of shooting, she quit because (among other reasons) she could not handle the "tech speak" involved with "Star Trek". Fortunately, Kate Mulgrew was available and the show was able to start as scheduled.
On a personal observation, when I first saw Kate Mulgrew on this show, I could not help noticing how much she looked and sounded like the legendary Katharine Hepburn. Well, my observations proved fruitful, because after "Voyager" wrapped, Kate Mulgrew has since won both critical and popular praise in her one-woman show based on the life of Ms. Hepburn, "Tea at Five".
9. I'm Lt. Baxter, a crewman on Voyager. Maybe if you know my first name, you can join me in the ship's gym...

Answer: Walter

Lt. Walter Baxter (Tom Virtue) was minor character who appeared in four episodes: "Eye of the Needle", "Twisted", and the two-part "Workforce" (billed as "Supervisor"). Since his character was a fitness buff, it stands to reason that he would spend plenty of time in the gym.
Tom Virtue has appeared in many TV movies (most notably "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge"), as well as episodes of "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Nash Bridges".

Answer: Lewis

Dr. Lewis Zimmerman (Robert Picardo) was the designer of the EMH Mark I (also played by Robert Picardo), and his name is NOT spelled "Louis." Since then, the EMH Mark I became relegated to menial tasks, such as cleaning deuterium tanks, which upset Dr. Zimmerman to no end (well, imagine hundreds of holograms in your image, which you had intended to be doctors, that are now nothing but glorified janitors).
Prior to "Voyager", Robert Picardo appeared in the TV shows "China Beach" and "Doogie Howser, MD". He has also been in "Small Soldiers", "Total Recall", and and "L.A. Story".
Now, with three actors named Robert on "Star Trek: Voyager" as principal cast members (MacNeill, Picardo, and Beltran), things would appear to get confusing. Well, to clear things up, Robert Beltran was called "Robert," Robert Picardo went by "Bob," and Robert Duncan MacNeill preferred "Robbie." I guess I'm glad I never auditioned for this show, huh? :)
