Question by Aragom
3. While attending Starfleet Academy, B'Elanna showed her athleticism by participating on what team?

Answer: Decathlon

During the Season 3 opening episode, "Basics, Part II" we learn through conversation a little of B'Elanna's Starfleet Academy history. When she chose to leave the Academy after four disciplinary hearings and a suspension, her decathlon coach was very upset.

Question by reedy
4. After dropping out of the Academy, B'Elanna joined the Maquis. She formed many close relationships, but who did she consider her best friend?

Answer: Seska

One of the unifying factors between B'Elanna and Seska was the experience of dealing with anger. While Seska thrived in her undercover role (infiltrating the Maquis), the transition to working with Starfleet didn't go over as well. B'Elanna made the effort to integrate with the crew, while Seska's true Cardassian nature came through, and she defected to the Kazon.

Question by reedy
5. After they were transported to the Delta Quadrant, the Caretaker 'kidnapped' and examined all of the crew members of both the 'Val Jean' and 'Voyager'. B'Elanna Torres was not returned to her ship with the rest of her crew.

Answer: True

Both B'Elanna and Harry Kim were transported down to the Ocampan settlement within the planet below. They were both informed that they were dying, and had to be kept separated from their own people to prevent the spread of their disease. What they were experiencing was as a result of the Caretaker attempting to determine if they had the potential to be used for reproduction. Eventually they escape from the medical center with the help of Kes, and then are rescued. Once on Voyager, the Doctor treats them and then lets them carry on.

Captain Janeway introduced Gathorel Labin to pecan pie in the episode "Prime Factors". It was also one of Commander Charles Tucker's favourite foods ("Star Trek: Enterprise").

Worf liked Rokeg blood pie and Deanna Troi couldn't resist anything chocolate.

We find out about B'Elanna's love of banana pancakes as a comfort food in the episode "Extreme Risk" shortly after she learns of the Maquis' destruction.
