"The Mole 2", Bill Trivia Quiz

Answer: Pisces

This was used as a clue to show he was the Mole- twice. The first time was in the very first episode, when the night sky was shown with a very starry sky, with the stars in the constellation Pisces glowing extremely bright (computer enhanced). This was the only shot of the night sky that episode that had any stars in it.

In episode two, right before the execution we are shown the Pisces symbol painted on the floor. Bill was the only player who was a Pisces.

Also used as a clue. The players were given a dinner of hamburgers and French fries, "Compliments of Mickey D's".

Answer: Washington

Also used as a clue. During the Bike the Mountain Game, host Anderson Cooper is seen eating an apple. Apples in the US come primarily from Washington.

Answer: ice cream

While he did buy beer for himself, Bribs, Ali and Lisa, it did not directly contribute to the team losing money. During the Pizza Game, they were told that the pizza and accompanying wine was all they could have to eat. Buying the ice cream for himself and Darwin after dinner resulted in a $10,000 penalty.

He neutralized Dorothy by putting the green Mole thumbprint in her journal.

Answer: his mom

Allegedly, his mother was very ill. I say allegedly, because this could have been a reason given to get Bill away for private times when the producers needed to talk to him.

Lisa got the Mole's diary, but it didn't do her much good. She was eliminated shortly afterwards.

Considering the fact that Bill is a retired Naval Admiral, coupled with the fact that before the game he was bragging about how long he can stay afloat, his going under this quickly made many players very suspicious of him. However, most of them quickly wrote it off, rationalizing that he deliberately sabotaged the game only to make them *think* he was the Mole, so of course he couldn't be the Mole. How wrong they were.

Answer: his own clothes

Bill, Dorothy and Elavia were the ones picking out the outfits for everyone else to wear in this game. When they were done, Anderson told them they could double the money made if they wore the diaper and bib ensemble. Bill refused, and the girls went along with him because they didn't feel it was right to make such a distinguished older man wear something like that.

The Mole's scheme worked!

Now the die-hard fans who were following along on the internet knew that by the 4th episode. That episode, the players received a telegram which had the phrase "The Mole is Bill" encoded into the numbers at the bottom. The numbers spelled this out on the keypad on a push button phone. Even more blatant clues appeared in later episodes, such as the word "AdMiRaL" and the phrase "bilL is tHe mOLe" appearing in the opening sequence (Bill is a retired admiral). Your average watcher who was not watching the show in slow motion on their VCR, or reading the message boards about the show, missed these clues.

Heck, even with these clues there was a great deal of debate on the message boards about who the Mole was, right up until he was revealed. Be sure to play my other "Mole 2" quizzes :)
