Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which Mulligan and O'Hare song is described as a 'haunting religious ballad'?

Answer: 'The Day The Donkey Derby Came To Town'

The lyrics are as follows:

'The day the donkey derby came to town
People came to watch from all around
But we didn't see who won the race
Because the super group The Who swooped down from the moon
And squirted tartar lemon in our face.'

Mulligan and O'Hare are a singing duo who make albums for your every mood.
2. What is the name of the lovely golden labrador whose catchphrase is 'My wife's gonna kill me!'?

Answer: Greg Mitchell

Greg Mitchell makes mistakes such as booking a three-week holiday to the Netherlands to look at tulips. Thomas Corkindale is his friend who is having an affair with Greg's wife. The sketches seem loosely based on the plots of 'Eastenders', but starring dog puppets.
3. Where do Pat Arrowsmith and Dave Wright book a holiday to?

Answer: Grief

Pat and Dave are better known as 'The Bra Men'. They are going on holiday to the isle of Grief, and ask their travel agent if there are any topless beaches. When the agent says that as they are men, it doesn't make any difference to them, they get very offended at the suggestion that they are flat-chested.
4. Complete the quote: 'A priest with some yeast in between his teeth, and his friend called Keith who's a _____'

Answer: Hairpiece thief

This quote describes a guest who Vic claims will be on the show. It's a fun little tongue-twister for you to learn.
5. When Vic and Bob are looking at their TV guides, which programme does Bob want to watch at 3.30?

Answer: 'Fraggle Rock'

The programme clashes with Vic's choice of 'Learn to Swim'. Bob never lets Vic watch it and so far he has only learned how to put his swimming costume on.
6. In the 'Antiques Roadshow' sketch, which of these is NOT a category of antiques displayed on the stalls?

Answer: Clocks and Timepieces

The now ex-host of the 'Antiques Roadshow', Hugh Scully, has deep worry lines across his forehead and in each scene, more monkeys appear on his shoulders. There is also a stall for antique booze.
7. What is the title of white reggae band Coconut's newest album?

Answer: Long House Mat

Vic and Bob are sorting through their album collection. They also have a record by a band called Lock, Stock and Carole, who play Carole King covers.
8. The address of the top-secret Reeves and Mortimer factory is Unit 6, Chapeldale Industrial Estate, wait for it...Kent.

Answer: False

It's actually Unit 5. The factory's location is supposed to be top secret but Vic and Bob produce a video showing how the factory operates and its various unusual products. These include the Will Duplicating Sink and Licky Kicky the Home Security Dog.

They don't know how the products work, they just do. The video is interrupted by the well-known nosy parker Roger Cook investigating the factory's illegal products.
9. What is Ken Taylor addicted to?

Answer: Suspending objects in bottles of cider

'Ken Taylor - he's addicted!' Ken Taylor's unusual hobby is suspending objects in cider. The first thing he tried was a breadbin. This sketch is part of 'Noel's Addicts', which features Bob Mortimer dressed in a skin-coloured body stocking with nodules sticking out all over it, cowboy boots, and a bad wig.
10. What vegetable is being advertised in Vic's Shaftesbury Avenue daydream?

Answer: Onion

When Vic goes into a trance saying the words 'Shaftesbury Avenue', he has a dream in which a man's head is entirely wrapped in bandages. The man is revealed to look perfectly normal, but the doctor who removed his bandages has an onion for a head. A star flashes up on screen saying 'Onions, 29p a pound'.

Thank you for playing, I hope you enjoyed it.
