Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the last name of the woman whose number Jerry takes from the AIDS Walk list?

Answer: Smalls

In the beginning of this episode, Kramer asks Elaine and Jerry for donations to support his entry into the AIDS Walk. When Kramer heads to the restroom, Jerry takes a look at the list and realizes that one donor is a woman that he once tried to call, but couldn't locate her number. Elaine says that once she finds out, Jerry will be in big trouble, but Jerry formulates a story to hide the fact.
2. What size jeans does Jerry wear?

Answer: 32

Jerry tells Elaine that he wears a 31 when she brings up his new pair of jeans. He says that he's been the same size since college. Later on, Susan comments on the same pair of jeans and George reveals the secret that Jerry actually scratches off the tag on a pair of size 32 jeans and replaces the number. George can't believe that he revealed the secret, but Susan says that it's okay since they're a couple.
3. Who tells Elaine that her birth control method was taken off the market?

Answer: Kramer

Elaine is shocked at this because she feels that most woman display loyalty in regards to their methods of birth control. She decides to go on a search through the city to round up all of the sponges in the area. Meanwhile, Jerry nearly reveals his AID Walk phone number secret to George, but decides against it because he has the feeling that George'll tell Susan and Susan will tell her friends. George fears that he may be left out of the loop.
4. According to the pharmacist that Elaine talks to, how many sponges come in a case?

Answer: Sixty

After realizing that no one has the birth control sponges on their shelves anymore, Elaine gets desperate, and when she finds that one store has a case remaining, she takes the whole set of them. Meanwhile, the elevator to Jerry's apartment breaks down, and Kramer has to walk up five flights of stairs.

When he realizes how tired this makes him, he realizes he's out of shape for the next day's walk.
5. Jerry's date, Lena, helps out at a soup kitchen.

Answer: True

During a double date with George and Susan, Lena brings up the fact that she always takes leftovers home with her because she volunteers at a soup kitchen at six in the morning. While Susan and Lena talk about Maya Angelou and her humanitarian ways, Jerry tries to get info about the types of soup that they serve. Susan and Lena excuse themselves and Jerry brings up the fact that he got Lena's number from an AIDS Walk list. George tells this to Susan after the date.
6. How many sponges does Elaine give to Susan when she runs out?

Answer: None

George and Susan make up after their fight and decide to make up in the bedroom, but first, Susan asks George to head to the drug store to get some sponges. When he informs her that they took the sponge off the market, they go to Elaine's apartment where she is with her date.

She doesn't give any over to George and Susan because she only has the limited supply and she only wants to use them for special occasions.
7. What does Jerry say he's going to do to George when Lena discovers how he got her number?

Answer: Cut him out of the loop

The night after the date, Lena heads to Jerry's apartment and tells him that she found out how he got her number from a friend (who knows a friend who knows Susan). The thing that puzzles Jerry is that she doesn't care that he took her number the way he did. Jerry yells at George and cuts him out of the loop. Meanwhile, Kramer spends the whole night gambling and doesn't get sleep before the AIDS Walk.
8. Why doesn't Kramer want to wear the AIDS ribbon?

Answer: Because he has to

When Kramer arrives at the walk, the woman taking the pledges gives Kramer his ribbon but he refuses to put it on to be rebellious. When Kramer gets into the walk, the other walkers notice that he isn't wearing a ribbon and two walkers (who have been troubling Kramer in past episodes) decide to beat him up over it. Meanwhile, Jerry decides that he probably can't be with a woman as generous as Lena.
9. What does Jerry find in Lena's closet?

Answer: Cases of sponges

Jerry decides to go to Lena's to break up with her, but their conversation is interrupted when Lena realizes she still has something washing in the sink. She asks Jerry to go to the closet for a towel and he finds cases and cases of sponges. He ends up not telling her that he's breaking up with her. Meanwhile, Susan tells George to use a condom since she can no longer use her method of birth control, but he finds it to be a hassle.
10. Does Kramer finish the AIDS Walk?

Answer: Yes

In the end, Lena doesn't find Jerry to be spongeworthy, so he leaves her. Elaine ends up finding her boyfriend spongeworthy, but they break up since she could only use the sponge on one occasion. George and Jerry wait for Kramer at the end of the AIDS Walk and he's the last one to cross the line.

Not knowing that he was beat up for not wearing a ribbon, Jerry blames Kramer's long night of gambling.
