Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "I'm glad someone has a happy." Who said this, and in which episode?

Answer: Buffy in "Lie to Me"

Buffy is complaining to Willow about Angel and Drusilla's late night playground meeting in "Lie to Me," and Xander joins the conversation by saying that when Angel messes up, it gives him a happy. Buffy sarcastically replies "I'm glad someone has a happy."
2. Who said it, to whom, and in which episode? "You didn't say anything. You just left."

Answer: Buffy to Angel in "Innocence"

Buffy is reeling from being left in bed by Angel after their little tryst at the end of "Surprise." Little does she know that Angel has lost his soul because of their horizontal hokey pokey and she is now speaking to the great Angelus.
3. Who said this? "Don't warn the tadpoles!"

Answer: Willow

Willow, as cited in many "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" episodes, has "frog fear." Quite similar to Anya's phobia - "bunnies frighten me."
4. Angelus: "What do you know about it? I'm the one who was friggin' violated. You didn't have this thing in you." Drusilla: "What was it? A demon?" Angel: "__________" Drusilla: "Poor Angel."

Answer: Love

Angelus is scrubbing himself clean after the encounter with Buffy in "I Only Have Eyes For You." He and Buffy were possessed by the spirits of two dead lovers and ended up sharing a kiss. In response to Angelus' vigorous cleaning, Spike comments, "You know, they say when you've drawn blood, you've exfoliated."
5. Who proclaims to Buffy, "Do you think I want anything to happen to you? Do you think I could stand it?"

Answer: Angel

In an extremely emotional moment from the final episode in season one, "Prophecy Girl," Buffy resigns from Slayerhood. Angel tries to comfort her and she says, "What do you know about this! You're never going to die." He replies, "Do you think I want anything to happen to you? Do you think I could stand it?" Later on, in the most touching part of the speech, Buffy says, through her tears, "Giles, I'm sixteen years old. I don't wanna die."
6. In which episode does Buffy claim: "No, I feel fine. I mean, I'm... the world's spinning a little bit, but I like it, it's kinda like a ride."

Answer: "Killed by Death"

Buffy comes down with the flu in this season 2 episode, "Killed by Death," and after fighting with Angelus, she passes out and is rushed to the hospital, where, being in a hospital zone, there is no singing!
7. Who said it, and in which episode: "Kiss rocks? Why would anyone want to kiss...oh, I get it."

Answer: Willow in "Band Candy"

In "Band Candy," Ethan Rayne distributes a candy bar that when eaten, makes grown ups act like teenagers. Principal Snyder becomes a rowdy, if somewhat annoying, teen, and spray paints "Kiss Rocks" across some lockers at Sunnydale High. After the affects of the candy wear off, he makes the Scoobies clean the lockers, and Willow takes a moment for some confusion.
8. Wesley: "Are you not used to being given orders?" Buffy: "Whenever Giles sends me on a mission, he always says please. And afterward I get a ______!"

Answer: Cookie

This is a very funny exchange during the episode entitled "Bad Girls," where Buffy is being introduced to her new Watcher, Wesley. Upon first meeting him, Buffy asks Giles "Is he evil?" The insults and obvious Giles-favoritism continue from there, with Buffy saying that Giles always gives her a cookie after missions.
9. In "Earshot," Buffy heard the thoughts of her friends in a scene in the library. Who thought, "I am my thoughts. If they exist in her, Buffy contains everything that is me and she becomes me. I cease to exist."

Answer: Oz

Buffy hears some very interesting things coming from the minds of her friends while she has her "aspect of the demon" - telepathy. Giles is astounded. Wesley keeps thinking of Cordy. Cordy is, well, Cordy. Xander thinks of naked women, naked Buffy. Willow is resentful of Buffy knowing what Oz is thinking, and Oz is introspective of Buffy's ability to take over his being.
10. Who calls whom the "Do That Girl?"

Answer: Willow about Faith

In "Enemies", Buffy is worried that there is something "romantic" going on between Angel and Faith. Willow is trying to reassure Buffy, but when Buffy says that Faith would never do that, Willow responds: "Faith would totally do that. Faith was built to do that. She's the do-that-girl...But Buffy - Angel - there's no way he would ever do that. You're the only thing in the world to him."
11. Who says that they are "very seldom naughty?"

Answer: Willow

In the dream trippy episode "Restless", Willow is being chased by the first Slayer. Buffy claims that she must have done something to provoke the attack, and Willow replies "No, I never do anything. I'm very seldom naughty."
12. Buffy: "You know you could have brought that up to us before we did it." Giles: "I did. I said there could be dire consequences." Buffy: "Yes, but you say that about ___________."

Answer: Chewing too fast

After their trippy dreams in "Restless", Giles explains that joining with the power of the first Slayer was probably an affront to that power. Buffy says that he could have mentioned that sooner, and Giles replies that he did say there could be dire consequences. Buffy then retorts, "Yes, but you say that about chewing too fast."
13. What does Darla say is "the saddest thing" in the season one episode "Angel"?

Answer: loving someone who used to love you

In the end of "Angel," Buffy and Angel are confronted by a pistol-packing Darla, who says to Buffy "You know what the saddest thing is? Loving someone who used to love you." Later in that same exchange, Darla says to Angel "You're sick, you'll always be sick, and you'll always remember what it was like to watch her die."
14. Who said it: "If I was blind, I'd still see you."

Answer: Angel

Buffy is dreaming in the beginning of "Anne," and Angel says this to her on the beach. Obviously, she is suffering majorly from sending Angel to hell in "Becoming, Pt. 2."
15. Why does Buffy say "I can't breathe, Will. I feel like I can't breathe."

Answer: Angel broke up with her

In "The Prom," Angel breaks up with Buffy in a "heartbreaking sewer talk." Later, after putting on a tough facade in front of Willow, Buffy breaks down, puts her head in Willow's lap, and cries "I can't breathe, Will. I feel like I can't breathe." I admit it, I cried!
16. Spike says this in which episode? "It's a big rock. I can't wait to tell my friends...they don't have a rock this big."

Answer: "Becoming Pt. 1"

Angelus is about to reveal the demon Acathla to Dru and Spike, but before the rock that contains the demon is opened, Spike says this very funny and very memorable quote in "Becoming, Pt 1."
17. End this speech: "Cause I can do anything I want, and instead I choose to pout and whine and feel the burden of Slayerness? I mean, I could be rich. I could be famous. I could have anything. Anyone. Even you, Spike. I could ride you at a gallop until your legs buckled and your eyes rolled up. I've got muscles you've never even dreamed of. I could squeeze you until you popped like warm champagne, and you would beg me to hurt you just a little bit more. And you know why I don't? ________________________"

Answer: Because it's wrong.

I absolutely LOVE this speech, given by Faith while in Buffy's body in "Who Are You?" Needless to say, Spike is more than a little taken aback by the Slayer's attitude.
18. Who says this to whom? "How do you like my darkness now?"

Answer: Buffy to Dracula

In the season five opener "Buffy vs Dracula," the Dark Prince keeps telling Buffy that she doesn't know her own power, her own darkness. Upon staking the vamp - the first time - Buffy dryly asks "How do you like my darkness now?"
19. To whom does Buffy sarcastically say, "See? No Begging."

Answer: Quentin

Buffy gives a long and sassy speech to the Watcher's Council in "Checkpoint" about how she isn't going to be tested anymore, and that they are just going to give her the information they have on Glory, who we then find out is a god. My favorite part during the speech is when Nigel says "This is beyond insolence--" and Buffy hurls a sword that embeds in a post, barely missing him.

She's fairly certain she said no interruptions. Excellent.
20. Let's end it with something classic. Xander said this in which episode? "I defined something accurately? Guess I'm done with the book learnin'."

Answer: "I Only Have Eyes for You"

Perhaps the most quoted Xanderism, in "I Only Have Eyes for You," Xander describes the thing in his locker as "I'm dead as hell, and I'm not gonna take it anymore." Giles says that was an accurate definition of a poltergeist, despite the Xander-speak.
