Angie appeared in the very first episode of 'Eastenders' on the 19th February 1985. Although Angie left just over three years later, she is still an 'Eastenders' icon to most fans.

2. What is the name of the child Den Watts has fathered?

Answer: Vicky Fowler

Sharon was actually adopted by Den and Angie as Angie couldn't have children. Den had a one night stand with Michelle Fowler and she became a mum to Vicky at the tender age of sixteen.

3. In October 1986, Angie told Den that Dr Legg had told her that she only had six months to live. Was Angie telling Den the truth?

Answer: No

Den had told Angie that he was finally leaving her and he wanted a clean break from her. He admitted their marriage was a sham. There was no way Angie would let Den go to live with his mistress without putting up a fight for him, so she came up with the only thing she could think of to stop him walking away.... a big black lie.

The Dagmar was owned by James Wilmott-Brown as a wine bar on Turpin Road. It was in competition with the Queen Vic. Angie, being the ex-landlady of the rival pub was, of course, an excellent person to have working there!

7. Who did Den Watts end up spending Christmas 1988 with?

Answer: Nick Cotton

Both Den and Nick found themselves in the Dickens Hill prison over Christmas. Episodes showed them talking over their lives in Albert Square. Surprisingly, both were glad to be spending Christmas away from Albert Square and away from Angie and Dot respectively.

Answer: He was shot

After a meeting with Michelle along the canal bank, Den was shot by a gun hiding in a bunch of flowers! 'The Firm', a local gangster gang, belived that Den had been informing the police about their business and so arranged for him to be killed. Den's body fell into the canal and wasn't found until over a year later.

He was finally buried in May 1990. In 2003, Den came back to Eastenders, having supposedly dragged himself out of the canal and fleeing to Spain for fourteen years.

9. What was Den's nickname for Sharon when she was a child?

Answer: Princess

He always saw her as his little girl and 'Princess' seemed to be in keeping with this.
