The first transformation is from Mumbo's hut in the first level. This transformation costs five Mumbo Tokens, all of which can be found in the same stage in various locations. As a termite, it's not possible to attack enemies, but it's possible to climb steep hills with ease. This ability surpasses the Talon Trot's ability to climb steep hills.

Answer: One

You only need to become the termite to enter and climb to the peak of the termite mound in the center of the level. Another thing you might want to as a termite is get the Empty Honeycomb in the side of the cliff. If you've hit the Grunty Switch, you also need the termite to claim the Jiggy on top of the small mountain at the entrance to the world in Grunty's Lair.

Answer: Ten

As you progress through each stage containing Mumbo's hut, the cost for a transformation will increase by five Mumbo Tokens. The alligator is a good transformation and it's probably the safest one in the game. It's the only transformation that can attack enemies, and it can stand up to the piranhas in the swampy waters of the swamp. You also need this transformation to find the first location containing Cheato.

Answer: Mr. Vile

During this mini-game, you'll need to eat more Yumblies than Mr. Vile (another gator) in an allotted time. If you've entered Gobi's Valley and learned how to use the Turbo Shoes, the task should be completed much easier. This game is also played in the Grunty's Furnace Fun physical challenges.

Answer: Walrus

For the modest price of fifteen Mumbo Tokens (accumulated over the past and current stages), Mumbo will transform you into a walrus. In this stage, his hut is overlooking the freezing water. With the walrus, you can easily pass through the freezing water which you couldn't travel through as Banjo and Kazooie. Like three other transformations, the walrus can't attack enemies.

Answer: No

The walrus is used to collect two Jiggies around the peak. One of these is received from Wozza the large walrus. He'll simply give up the Jiggy if you walk to his cave. Here you can also obtain an Empty Honeycomb. The second Jiggy is in the first race against Boggy the polar bear. You must race Boggy a second time as Banjo and Kazooie, and that race is best done when you have the Turbo Shoes from the following level.

Answer: Pumpkin

The Mad Monster Mansion transformation costs twenty Mumbo Tokens and it can not attack enemies. This is probably the smallest of the transformations since it's able to hop into pipes to collect notes and Jiggies. The pumpkin is also required to collect one of the Empty Honeycombs. To do this, you need to go to the higher floors of the mansion and find the hedge path to the house.

Answer: Two

The first one you can access is outside the stage near the Gobi's Valley picture. To reach it, you use the pumpkin to navigate the narrow, winding path and to crawl into a small hole. The second requires that you raise the water level outside Rusty Bucket Bay, but to do this, you must use the pumpkin to raise the water to the first level by taking it into a small mansion outside the Mad Monster entrance.

Answer: Twenty-five

The final transformation is in the final stage, Click Clock Wood, and it is the most expensive transformation at five times the first transformation cost (remember when the termite cost five Mumbo Tokens?). Unfortunately, the bee can not attack enemies, but it can fly to the highest point of the stage without wasting a single feather.

Answer: Spring

Although Mumbo's hut is found in all four seasons, the actual transformation is only performed and needed in the first season to claim a Jiggy or two and some Jinjos. The bee is also needed if you want to claim the Jiggy generated by the level's Grunty Switch. Luckily, it can be taken out of Click Clock Wood for a good distance.

In the seasons where you are not the bee, Mumbo will be preoccupied with other things like sweeping leaves or a winter vacation.
