Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What skill is needed to access the picture for Clanker's Cavern?

Answer: Use of the Shock Jump Pad

To learn the Shock Jump Pad, you'll need to find the molehill overlooking the sandcastle in Treasure Trove Cove. This skill will allow Kazooie to spring Banjo into the air. To reach the picture, find the Shock Jump Pad in the same room as the Treasure Trove Cove picture and spring up. The Clanker's Cavern picture only requires five Jiggies.
2. What is the only skill learned in Clanker's Cavern?

Answer: Wonderwing

The Wonderwing technique makes use of the gold feathers found throughout the game. This skill will allow Kazooie to protect Banjo with her wings so that no damage is taken. To find Bottles, you'll need to find the flight pad in Clanker's stomach and fly across the chamber. Once the skill is learned, you can use it in the same room as the molehill to pass the blades and claim a Jiggy.
3. How many Jinjos are found underwater in this level?

Answer: Three

The pink Jinjo is located in one of Clanker's gills and you'll need to swim down to get it. The green Jinjo is at the deepest point of the level near the key that makes Clanker rise to the surface and the blue Jinjo is in one of the pipelines on the side of the level.

The other two Jinjos are above the disgusting water. One is in the first chamber and the other is in a steel shaft. To get the one, you'll need to use the Beak Buster skill.
4. The Grunty Switch is inside Clanker in this stage.

Answer: True

If you enter Clanker through the hole in his head, you can fall directly on top of the Grunty switch. Pound it like the others and the eyes on a Grunty Picture on the floor in Gruntilda's Lair will pop out. If you find this picture and use Beak Buster on the eyes, a Jiggy will appear in front of you.

A Grunty Switch is hidden in every level, and hitting one will allow you to reach one of the ten Jiggies in Gruntilda's Lair.
5. What is the name of the fish in the deepest depths of Clanker's Cavern?

Answer: Gloop

When you think your air is getting too low, follow Gloop around for a bit. This friendly fish will create large air bubbles that will refill a bit of your diminishing air supply. This will be extremely helpful if you're trying to collect all of the Notes and the green Jinjo as well as turn the key to raise Clanker all on one trip to the bottom. Gloop will never run out of bubbles and he will always be swimming around the base of Clanker's chain.
6. How many of Clanker's teeth can be shot out?

Answer: Two

Once Clanker has been raised from the water, you can stand on one of two small platforms and shoot eggs at Clanker's gold teeth. When three eggs successfully hit these teeth, they will fall out and you'll be able to go into the gaps you've just made. The one on the right contains a Mumbo Token, but the one to the left holds one of the level's ten Jiggies.
7. What exactly is Clanker?

Answer: A garbage disposal

Clanker's Cavern is the waste-management site of Grunty's Lair (and it's also where she does her laundry). This is why the area is rusty and metallic, and why the water is so dingy. When you get inside of Clanker, the top half of him will be filled with spinning blades to slice the garbage and the bottom half will be a large chamber filled with water and growing tentacles. Years of eating garbage is the primary cause of Clanker's tooth decay.
8. In Clanker's Cavern, you need to fight mutated versions of which previously-seen enemies?

Answer: Snippits

Mutant-Snippits are found in the chamber directly opposite the entrance to the level, and they act quite similar to the Snippits of Treasure Trove Cove. Once you've turned these deformed enemies into crab cakes, your Jiggy reward will be placed on top of the glowing object in the center of the room. Like regular Snippits, they will give you two Honeycombs each if you attack them with the Beak Buster skill.
9. Enemy tentacles are only found inside of Clanker.

Answer: True

Due to the ingestion of Grunty's trash, quite a few tentacles have grown inside Clanker's belly. You can't attack or destroy them, but they can hurt you if you happen to hit one. They really serve no purpose except as an obstacle, and if you're just getting the hang of swimming in this game, they might be a problem.

A tentacle blocks off the pink Jinjo in Clanker's belly unless you can get yourself to swim around it.
10. How much time is given to complete the hoop game in Clanker's stomach?

Answer: Forty-five seconds

If you make your way to Clanker's stomach, there will be crates and hoops set up everywhere (how those got past the spinning blades, I'll never know). When you jump through the first hoop, the next one will change from blue to green and the timer will begin. Simply jump and swim where needed while the hoops gradually decrease until you win.

After you finish, the water in Clanker's stomach will rise and allow you to reach a Jiggy on a platform.
