Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In Bubblegloop Swamp it was piranhas. In Freezeezy Peak it was freezing cold water. You need the Wading Boots to protect yourself from what creature in Gobi's Valley?

Answer: Sand Eels

Yes, much like clouds and hills having eyes in the Mushroom Kingdom, here in "Banjo-Kazooie" unlikely things will talk to you such as freezing cold water. The first time you step into the hazardous sands. A worm-like creature will talk to you saying something along the lines that only sand eels can live in this sand.

But consider yourself lucky, it could be quicksand and you could die if you land in it. Given the choice between the two, I'd take sand eels. You will need the wading boots to cross over the sand pit to the world entrance, easily, and to get some notes in the world itself.
2. One of the first things you'll come across in the world is an oasis and a shriveled tree named Trunker. What insulting name does Kazooie give to Trunker?

Answer: Bark Breath

Kazooie has had a smart mouth ever since the beginning of your journey and it's not about to change now. Thankfully, Trunker has no means of attacking you when insulting him, much like Nipper did in Treasure Trove Cove. You won't find the solution in the water surrounding Trunker's island because that would be too easy but you can find some eggs in there.

However, Trunker will give you a Jiggy if you water him somehow...
3. In your search for gold, you may come across the camel named Gobi. What color is Gobi's collar?

Answer: blue

Another detailed question but you will see his collar holding him several times. Gobi is one of the more important characters in the world, which is to be expected as the world is named after him. He will be able to get you two Jiggies and an extra honeycomb piece in this world. Of course with the second JIggy and the extra honeycomb piece you have to be mean to him but it is kind of enjoyable in a sense.

The first time you meet Gobi, named after the large desert in Asia, you must Beak Bust the rock holding him down.

He'll run off and give you a Jiggy for freeing him. Next, you'll find him in front of Trunker refusing to give any water to poor Trunker. Now unbeknownst to most people, camels do not carry water in their humps. Their humps are actually large deposits of fat that they use for food.

However, Rare and Nintendo didn't care about this so if you Beak Bust Gobi, water will spill out of his mouth and water Trunker. Gobi will run away and Trunker will grow and have a Jiggy for you on top of him. You can't Flap Flip jump to him so use one of the surrounding palm trees to jump on top of him. Gobi will appear one last time in an alcove near Jinxy and Rubee's pyramid.

This alcove is also where one of the mystery eggs appears at the end of the game if you collect all 100 Jiggies. If you Beak Bust him, he'll spit up an empty honeycomb piece and run off again. You won't see Gobi again for two more worlds, when he'll reappear in Click Clock Wood.
4. Which of the following is NOT true about the large mummy hand with a Jiggy?

Answer: the mummy hand has guraded his Jiggy for 3,000 years

Grabba has guarded his Jiggy for a long time but it wasn't 3,000 years rather it was 1,000 years. Also Grabba refers to you as mortals which proves that he, unlike some of the other mummy hands that try to attack you, is immortal. Grabba taunts when you first try to take the Jiggy from his hand as he disappears before you can get it from him.

However, once you learn how to use the Turbo Trainers from Bottles, if you run towards Grabba you can take his Jiggy before he has time to react. Grabba is also surrounded by a sand eel pit with musical notes, which can be obtained by using the Stilt Stride.
5. What is the name of the dead pharaoh in Gobi's Valley?

Answer: King Sandybutt

One thing "Banjo-Kazooie" was famous for was its humor and calling an all powerful pharaoh Sandy Butt is no exception. In fact, "Banjo-Kazooie" was nominated for funniest game in the "Nintendo Power" awards, even though it lost to "South Park." In order to get King Sandybutt's Jiggy, you must run through a timed maze infested with mummies, which can easily be dispatched by Kazooie's Wonderwing. If you don't make it through the maze in time the ceiling falls and ends up crushing you forcing you to start the world over again.

However, instead of heading straight for the exit you may want to take a little extra time to try and find the Witch Switch also in the maze. The Witch Switch will open up a sarcophagus near the urn you jumped through to get the Jiggy from the Bubblegloop Swamp Witch Switch. Use the moving Shock Jump pad to spring up to the Jiggy. Also now that you know how to use the Turbo Trainers you are able to get the Jiggy from the Freezeezy Peak Witch Switch.
6. In the matching tile game, what is NOT one of the images on the tiles?

Answer: Gold Feather

A gold feather is not one of the tiles but a red feather is. In a short amount of time you must avoid mummies and match sixteen tiles. The mummy can be killed easily with a gold feather. The images on the tiles are a yellow Jinjo, Mumbo Jumbo, honeycomb energy, blue egg, red feather, a musical note, Banjo, and Kazooie.

When matching all these tiles within the time limit, you get a Jiggy. This will also be one of the challenges you may partake in during Grunty's Furnace Fun.
7. This is the last time Bottles will help you as he teaches you your last move in this world.

Answer: False

Actually Bottles will help you in two ways. If you approach one of his molehills he'll refill your honeycomb energy. Also in the last fight against Gruntilda, he'll speak to you and make a flying pad appear during the fight so you can fight Gruntilda using the Beak Bomb. Bottles will not teach you any more moves from here on out.

In "Banjo-Tooie" Bottles' cousin Jamjars will refer to Bottles' teachings as the novice moves and Jamjars will teach you some more advanced techniques. Unlike Bottles, you must have a certain amount of notes to know Jamjar's moves and you may have to approach his just with Kazooie or just with Banjo. Brentilda, who can be found around Grunty's lair, will also completely refill your Honeycomb Energy if you speak to her.
8. What is the name of Rubee's snake?

Answer: Histup

Once again Kazooie must fire eggs from her back end in order to get a Jiggy. Rubee, a snake charmer will ask you to fill a basket circling Histup's basket, with eggs in order for him to call Histup out. Once the basket is full Histup will stretch all the way up to the ceiling. You then have to climb up Histup and jump on top of his head to easily get the Jiggy. Probably the most difficult part about getting to Rubee, is getting inside his temple. You must Beak Bomb a target, and then very quickly get inside the temple before time runs out.
9. Where can you NOT find a Jinjo?

Answer: in an alcove of the maze pyramid

Once you first enter the world the Yellow Jinjo will be waiting on one of the rocks surrounding the oasis. The Blue Jinjo awaits patiently in the moat, you can rescue it and hope to find the flight pad before the Sand Eels get you or you can wait until you empty water into the moat and swim to him.

The Orange Jinjo is inside Jinxy once you raise the first magic carpet, instead of going forward, look behind you and you'll see the Orange Jinjo on another carpet so you have to jump towards him. The Green Jinjo is inside an alcove in a pyramid but it's not the pyramid that contains the maze.

The pyramid actually contains the matching game. However, the maze is not completely useless, as at the exit you will find the Pink Jinjo in the urn at the exit.
10. How many Jiggies are found inside structures and outside excluding the Jinjo Jiggy?

Answer: five inside structures, four outside

The five Jiggies that can be found inside structures include: Rubee's Jiggy, the matching game, threading the maze, the one inside Jinxy, and the Jiggy inside the ziggurat that empties the water. The four that can be found outside are Grabba's Jiggy, Gobi's Jiggy, Trunker's Jiggy, and the Jiggy you get for flying through the rings of golden statues.

The Jinjo Jiggy didn't count towards this total as two of them are found inside structures, while three are found outside.
