Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At one point in the game, you fight a guy named Eusine who is obsessed with Suicune. In what city do you fight Eusine?

Answer: Cianwood City

You first meet Eusine in the Burned Tower at Ecruteak City; however, you officially fight him in Cianwood City. He battles you to see if your worthy of catching Suicune. He only uses three Pokemon: Drowzee, Electrode, and Haunter.
2. On the way to the Pokemon League, you, of course, must pass through Victory Road. However, there are no trainers to battle! What has happened to cause the lack of trainers?

Answer: Your rival has already defeated them

As you make your way through Victory Road, you probably noticed that there are no trainers to battle you. Near the end, your rival shows up and gloats on how easily he defeated the trainers. You battle and eventually defeat him in a tough battle.
3. Jasmine, leader of the Olivine Gym and user of Steel Pokemon, seems to prove as a worthy opponent. The number of trainers in her gym has the same amount as another gym leader's gym. Who is the other gym leader that has the same number of trainers as Jasmine's gym has?

Answer: Falkner

Falkner and Jasmine both have two trainers in their gyms. It's pretty surprising that Jasmine, the sixth gym leader, has such a low amount of trainers in her gym compared to the others.
4. Team Rocket strikes again! As you know, this group of rouges are never up to any good. You encounter them many times in the game including Mahogany Town, the place where their HQ is located. You decide to take them down from the inside out and someone assists you. Who is the ally that helps you through the Team Rocket HQ?

Answer: Lance

Pokemon League Champion Lance himself is your ally. He came to Mahogany Town to investigate the strange radio signals coming from the small town. You both head inside and eventually come across two Team Rocket Executives: Petrel and Ariana. After defeating them, you and Lance decide to take down the main source of the strange radio sounds: six Electrodes. You both each take down three of them and that solves the radio problem...or does it?
5. We are not done with Team Rocket yet! They have taken over the Radio Tower in Goldenrod City sending the message across the Johto region saying that they have finally taken over! After battling many Grunts and Executives, you finally come across the main boss of Team Rocket himself, Archer. He only uses three Pokemon in this fight. What is his strongest Pokemon?

Answer: Houndoom

Archer doesn't even use a Weezing but his Houndoom makes up for it. After defeating him, you have finally put a end to Team Rocket's reign! The Director gives you either the Rainbow Wing (if your playing "Pokemon HeartGold") or the Silver Wing (if your playing "Pokemon SoulSilver"). You're about ready to capture Ho-oh and Lugia!
6. Your rival is a re-occuring character in "Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver". At most times when you meet up with him, a Pokemon battle starts. Where do you NOT fight your rival?

Answer: In Radio Tower

You only talk with your rival in Radio Tower during the Team Rocket invasion. However, you fight him a little later in the Goldenrod Tunnels and every fight is nearly the same. His Pokemon actually depends on what starter you choose.
7. Of course before you can call yourself champion, you must go through the Elite Four and Lance first. After a few battles, you notice that there is a similar face from the previous series. A former gym leader is now one of the Elite Four! Who is this person?

Answer: Koga

Koga, the fifth gym leader of the Kanto series, is back and a whole lot stronger. I guess his skills were so good, he got promoted to being one of the Elite Four of the Johto region. Now his daughter controls his old gym. Bruno is also a returning face, but only as another member of the Elite Four (he got promoted to the third of the Elite Four).
8. It is now time for the fight with Lance, Pokemon League Champion. He is very tough unless you bring the right amount of Pokemon with you. Which two types will help you easily defeat Lance?

Answer: Ice and Electric

Every one of Lance's Pokemon are part Flying so Electric and Ice will fair pretty well against him. However, it is recommended to use Electric type moves on his Gyarados (which does 4x damage by the way), Charizard, and Aerodactyl and Ice type moves on all three of his Dragonites (which also does 4x damage).

Although Dragon and Rock also works, remember that Dragon beats Dragon so it's a little safer if you use Ice to take down his Dragon types and Rock type moves do only normal damage to Aerodactyl. Follow that strategy, and Lance should be a walk in a park!
9. You've defeated Lance and you are now the new Champion. Now it's time to take on the Kanto region and it's Champion. After many battles and eventually defeating the Kanto Champion, you are given permission to go to one final area. What is the "final level" called?

Answer: Mt. Silver

Mt. Silver is the final area to explore in order the fully defeat the game. There, you fight your most strongest opponent yet, Red.
10. Red is a very tough opponent. His Pokemon are all in the level 80s. However, his Pokemon are very similar to another Pokemon trainer's Pokemon. Who did Red mostly copy his Pokemon from?

Answer: Ash Ketchum

Red has Pokemon that TV "Pokemon" star, Ash Ketchum, would have. He even has a Pikachu at level 80 instead of a Raichu. After defeating Red, the credits once again roll. You have officially beaten the game!
