Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What happens when a Sandstorm is summoned by a Pokemon?

Answer: All of these

Most people don't notice the increase in special defense because of the fact few people decide to teach their Pokemon this move. It will also replace other weather moves in the match if another weather is already in effect. This move also cuts the healing capabilities of Morning Sun, Synthesis, and other weather-related healing moves.
2. What is Ho-oh's ultimate move in the game?

Answer: Sky Attack

Sky Attack has 140 power and a 30% chance to flinch the target. Sacred fire is only second being 100 power only. These two moves complement Ho-oh's Attack stat and the only fire type Pokemon Smogon considers as an Uber class. Too bad the Rainbow Phoenix can only learn it when it's level is all the way to 99.

It says ultimate move, not move exclusive to Ho-oh, so I don't want complaints that sacred fire is the answer.
3. You can catch Latias in "Pokemon Soul Silver".

Answer: False

Latias can be found in "Pokemon Heart Gold"; you will have to talk to someone and then Latias will be seen in your map just like the legendary dogs. It may be smaller than Latios but that doesn't mean it is weaker.
4. What is the maximum amount of health a Blissey can ever have?

Answer: 714

Blissy can have a whopping 714 HP assuming it has maximum Individual Values and Effort Values. It is known as "The Special Wall" since any move that is special attack based will be almost nothing to this creature. It is also risky using attack based moves on it. If a move cuts Blissey's health by just half (that is exactly 357 damage to health), a Blissey with counter will double that. Imagine if exactly 700 HP was taken out by one move, that would mean a Blissey's counter will deal 1,400 damage to the opponent.

A guaranteed OH-KO!
5. From which of these techniques does Steelix take x4 damage?

Answer: None of these

Steelix has four weaknesses: ground, water, fighting, and fire. At first glance people will assume fighting because some people make the mistake that Steelix is steel/rock, but it is actually steel/ground. Steelix has no x4 weakness and has nine resistances added with complete immunity to electric and poison which equals eleven type advantages.
6. Where is trainer Red in "Pokemon Heart Gold" and "Pokemon Soul Silver"?

Answer: Mt. Silver

At the peak of Mt. Silver you will meet Red, the strongest trainer in the game. He is obviously Ash because of the set of Pokemon he has and of course his starting Pokemon which is a no-brainer. Red's House is also in Pallet town which further proves his identity.
7. When you face Red, what is the level of his strongest Pokemon and what item is it holding?

Answer: 88, Light Ball

Everyone knows Ash's number one Pokemon will always be Pikachu. His Pikachu is level 88 and holding a Light Ball. His Pikachu has the moves Thunderbolt, Volt Tackle, Iron Tail, and Quick Attack. He also has a Lapras, Snorlax, Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard which are all in their 80s. You'd better train hard before facing him.
8. Which of these members of the Elite Four is not part of the Pokemon League in "Pokemon Heart Gold" and "Pokemon Soul Silver"?

Answer: Agatha

Agatha is not present in the Pokemon League of "Pokemon Heart Gold" and "Pokemon Soul Silver"; you will not see her in the game. Lance is the current Champion, Karen is behind him and she specializes in dark Pokemon, Bruno is the third being able to advance from being the second opponent in the first game, Koga the previous Fuchsia gym leader has taken new heights as your second opponent in the Pokemon League, and Will is the first opponent specializing in psychic Pokemon.
9. Which of these moves has the highest accuracy?

Answer: Dark Void

Dark Void has 80% accuracy, hits the opponent's side of the field (in tag battle it hits all opponents only), and exclusive only to Darkrai. Darkrai may become an opponent's worst nightmare, having the speed to always be first and an incredible special attack stat. Dark Void + Nightmare + Dream Eater + the ability "Bad Dreams", a Darkrai will always faint a Pokemon in three turns or less if the Pokemon will not wake up. Through my experience, a single Darkrai took down my Dialga, Giratina, Metagross, and nearly killed my Garchomp (which was my last Pokemon). Luckily my Garchomp woke up at the second turn with 10% health left and killed that annoying Pokemon with outrage.

After that I got a successful two criticals in a row and a fourth outrage despite confusion, which led to my victory. IN YOUR FACE DARKRAI!
10. Machamp has the ability "No Guard", but what does it do?

Answer: No Pokemon in the field can miss

No Guard is like a "I take your hit, you take mine" kind of thing. It makes all Pokemon have the ability to never miss in battle, which can work both ways for Machamp. A Machamp with this ability can hit a Pokemon that has done fly or dive but at the same time moves like Sheer Cold or Guillotine will never miss on it.
