While it is true that the 5th level has the apple for its fruit, the actual 5th fruit itself is the melon. The reason that the apple and so on is on a different level than it should be is because there can be more than one level with a fruit. The order of fruit goes like this: Cherry, Strawberry, Orange, Apple, Melon, Galaxian, Bell, Key (I dunno why Pac-Man would eat a key, but okay).

Unlike "Pac-Man", where the last fruit is a continuous repeat, all the fruits are used again in the later levels in random order. The original order of the fruits are: Cherry, Strawberry, Orange (or Peach, or something), Pretzel, Apple, Pear, Banana.

There are four standard power pellets around the corners of the maze, and in "Super Pac-Man", as well two larger pellets can make you bigger. If you have an active super pellet, eat a standard pellet while your big and you will stay big.

"Pac-Man Plus", not only an uncommon game but also a really hard game has much difference. The fruits are different, ghosts may still be inedible after power pellets are eaten, ghosts look different when they are edible, wall color is greenish, etc.

Unlike about all other "Pac-Man" games, it is impossible to eat ghosts. You may stun them and walk past them if you have the power up, though. It takes about 15 seconds or so for ghosts to become un-stunned.

If you go through that colored part in the middle, you can see ghost eyes if a ghost is there. The purpose of that colored part is most likely so Pac-Man can hide.

Answer: Pick up and drag items across the map

This can sometimes be helpful if there are ghosts around that item, but the same effect can be caused even when 'Pal' is carrying the item. If Pal has an item, just walk on it to collect it, like you normally would.

Due to a glitch in the fruit-drawing program, level 256 is corrupted on the right hand side of the map. The reason: The fruit-drawing program is set to draw up to 7 fruits per level, showing your current, and last 6 fruits. Since only 255 levels are stored into a byte though, the level counter restores itself to 0, making it draw 256 fruits. Of course that is just silly, so instead it corrupts half the map for you.

Answer: 19

When you hit level 19, the ghosts are inedible for most likely the rest of the game. The only thing that happens now is that they will still change direction, but they can't be eaten.

The creator of Pac-Man himself went to eat some pizza one day. After he took a bite, he may have examined his pizza too much. There, sitting in front of him, was the first look at Pac-Man.
