1. Who is the first boss of the game?

Answer: Garland

Garland, as most "Final Fantasy 1" players know, has a rather humorous tagline before you fought him. For those of you who have not reached that point yet, it is: "I Garland, will knock you all down!"

2. How many pirates do you fight in Pravoka?

Answer: Nine

Since you fight so many of them, you have a chance to get one or more Leather Shields, which will save you 12 gil. They may save you from buying more, if you have more than one party member that needs one.

3. Where can you buy a Longsword?

Answer: Melmond

You can also get one from Garland, but its a rare drop, so you may have to fight him more than once to get it. The Longsword sells for 1200 gil.

4. Which of the following monsters does not belong in the set of monsters you can fight at the peninsula north-east of Parvoka?

Answer: Earth Troll

You can find earth trolls in the earth cavern. You can also fight them in the last bonus dungeon, the Whisperwind Cove

5. What set of equipment can you find in the Sunken Shrine?

Answer: Diamond

The only iron thing is the armor, mythril stuff can be bought in crescent lake and found in many places (although not here), and crystal equipment is found in the bonus dungeons. The crystal equipment is worth it, but hard to find, because in the bonus dungeons, chest content is random.

6. What is needed to learn and speak Lufenian?

Answer: Rosetta Stone

You can find it in the Sunken Shrine while on the third floor. Although, once you get it you have to backtrack to the beginning of the part, and then continue on to Kraken.

7. What is the name of the area where you get the airship?

Answer: Ryukahn Desert

With the airship, you can go to towns you couldn't go to before and its makes travel much easier. Gaia and Lufenia are several examples of new towns you can go to or if you want to take the easy way, go down there and open the menu.

8. If you take Lich's HP and subtract Garland's HP, what do you get?

Answer: 988

If you take a quick look at your bestiary, that is once you have defeated Lich, you can look this up. You could also haved used a calculator, if you needed one and if you lnew their HPs.

9. How far back do you travel in time in the game?

Answer: 2000 years

You're told this once you light all four crystals and you go back to the Chaos Shrine. The black crystal in the central room lets you know how far you travel back.

10. Where does the Chaos Shrine lie on the World map?

Answer: in the exact center

You can find this out just by pressing Select then B to open the world map. If you look up the Chaos Shrine, you'll notice that it's in the middle of the world, that's because each of the crystal's element, if you will, travels to the Chaos Shrine.
