Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which direction do you push on the control stick to equip the needle and thread to suture incisions and lacerations?

Answer: Right

If you were to push the control stick to the left you would equip the scalpel. Push upward and you would equip the antibiotic gel. The laser is equipped when the control stick is pushed downward. There are a total of eight tools which are equipped using the control stick.
2. How many steps does it take to locate, excise, and treat a tumor?

Answer: Seven

In order to locate, excise, and treat a tumor Derek must first use the Ultrasound to find it. He will then use the scalpel making an incision down the center of the tumor. After draining the cytoplasm you quickly equip the scalpel again to cut around the outside. Now Derek can use the forceps to remove the tumor. Finally you have to apply a synthetic membrane then use the antibiotic gel to erase the tumor's existence!
3. In your first operation with Nozomi Weaver you are treating what?

Answer: A comminuted fracture

This is a fun level specifically designed for the Wii. You get to actually twist the Wiimote in order to rotate the pieces of bone and then drop them into place. It is sort of like putting a puzzle together.
4. In episode 3-6: An Explosive Patient, Cybil tells you which way to turn the screws when trying to get in and dismantle the bomb.

Answer: False

In the lower right hand corner of the bomb there are some markings that will tell you which way the screws turn. Use the magnification tool to zoom in and get a closer look. If you make enough mistakes Cybil will point out the strange inscription out to you.
5. On your way to Africa you must perform emergency surgery in a plane! What might keep you from having a successful operation?

Answer: Turbulence

Using any of the tools, even the ultrasound, while in a spot of turbulence will cause lacerations and a drop in the patients vitals. To be on the safe side you should let go of the A and B buttons until the turbulence stops.
6. In episode Z-4 while operating as Nozomi Weaver you must transplant which vital organ listed below?

Answer: Kidney

This episode requires the player to move quickly. You must first insert some vasoconstrictor in order to constrict and slow the vessel's blood supply. Only after you have done this can the vessel be cut open and attached to the new kidney. This is repeated three times.
7. The strain of GUILT called Triti always attacks the pancreas.

Answer: True

Triti seems to cause a lot of trouble for people, and with good reason. If you do not know exactly how the triangles regenerate it can quickly become overwhelming. If there is a spot with two thorns next to each other and an open space then a new triangle will appear in that space. Also if you remove an isolated triangle more will grow to try and keep everything connected.
8. What is the color of the life-saving serum which artificially boosts a patients vitals?

Answer: Green

As you start to perform more difficult operations, you quickly become quite attached to this serum. It is always available to you once you equip the syringe tool by pressing up and to the right on the control stick.
9. Delphi is the secret organization which created GUILT. What is the name of their leader?

Answer: Adam

Delphi believes that modern medicine is allowing people to live who shouldn't. They think disease is a blessing and allows natural population control. Adam was captured but his body was preserved by Caduceus Europe to create new treatments. His body is finally destroyed after a prolonged battle with GUILT.
10. You made it back to the suture and successfully completed your operation! Which of these is NOT a rank you could receive?

Answer: Intern

The best grade you can receive is Master Surgeon or XS. This is very difficult to achieve and requires a lot of skill. On this new wii version of the game you may play any level over again to try and improve your ranking.
