Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of your first assistant?

Answer: Mary Fulton

Nurse Mary is your assistant for three operations and then she's gone. She does, however, make a small reappearance during the large-scale GUILT outbreak.
2. What is the name of the hospital you work at in the beginning of the game?

Answer: Hope Hospital

This is your base of operations (no pun intended) until you join Caduceus. No matter which hospital you're at, there will always be a Dr. Kasal.
3. It's a form of GUILT. The main tool you need to use is your forceps, but you'll occasionally have to use the drain. It expands if you isolate a part of it, or if there are two thorns next to each other when you remove a part of it. What is its name?

Answer: Triti

Sometimes when you remove a thorn, it becomes a toxic gas. You have to use the drain to remove the gas quickly, or else it's game over.
Many players despise Triti because it's so hard to remove. The trick is to remove every other thorn and work the GUILT into a corner.
4. This strain of GUILT requires you to go through three surgeries and three puzzles before you finally defeat it. The main tools you need to use are the laser and the antibiotic gel, but you might have to use the suture if you're not fast enough. It can send out smaller agents that create lacerations and tumors, but you should focus on the core. What is this persistent GUILT?

Answer: Pempti

The battle with this GUILT can go on forever if you lose focus on your main target. However, there are times you should attack something besides the core. When it sends out pink agents, focus on them, because the lacerations they cause will do serious damage to your patient.

When it sends out the large blue agents, destroy them, then take care of the tumors they create. Otherwise, laser away at that core!
5. "Trauma Center: Second Opinion" features a second playable character. What is her name?

Answer: Nozomi Weaver

Dr. Nozomi is a real mystery. Her past and her motives are unknown when you first meet her. To gain access to her operations, you have to complete a chapter in Dr. Stiles' story. She has five operations before she becomes part of the main story.
6. The person in the last question also possesses the Healing Touch. How is her Healing Touch different from that of Derek's?

Answer: Every action you perform boosts the patient's vitals

Suture a wound, damage a GUILT, extract a foreign object, everything heals your patient! As long as you're doing something useful, that is. If you take your laser and start burning your patient for no reason, their vitals will still go down.

A lot of players have problems pulling off the Healing Touch in this game. Surprisingly, the majority of them blame it on the same thing: "A Sixth Line". That is to say, when they go to draw a star to activate Healing Touch, they may accidentally draw a small line in the lower-left corner. The game registers this as the first line. So when they finish the star, they have, in effect, drawn a sixth line. And since a star is only supposed to have five lines, the game dismisses it as an error!
All I can say is practice it and remain calm.
7. Caduceus uses a certain test to locate and identify GUILT. What name is given to this test?

Answer: Chiron

This is a reference to Greek mythology.
Chiron is the ferryman of the River Styx, which is the river of the dead. To cross the river, you had to pay him a gold coin, which was supposed to be buried along with you when you died. If you didn't have a gold coin, you could not cross, and you basically wandered the earth.
8. GUILT is created by a group of terrorists. What name does this group go by?

Answer: Delphi

Another reference to Greek mythology.
Delphi was the most famous site of the Oracle of Apollo. People would come here from all over the known world to ask about their future, or a solution to a dilemma. The Oracle would reply in a cryptic manner. If it was a warning, the fate could be avoided. If it was a statement, no action could prevent it from happening.
9. This GUILT strain has two different types, and is usually a two-part operation. The main tool you need to use is the drain, but you'll occasionally have to use the laser. When the two opposing types come together, that's your chance to drain them. Once you've drained it enough, you have to excise it, remove it, and put a synthetic membrane in its place. What is this mobile tumor?

Answer: Deftera

You have to be careful, though. If two Deftera of the same type come together, they create tumors in the patient. Laser them before you carry on. Also, if you excise a pair of Deftera but don't remove them, a lot of tumors start forming rapidly. This will quickly destroy your patient, so quick removal is necessary.
10. Your patient is Linda Reid. What are you up against?

Answer: Lacerations

You operate on Linda twice. In the first operation, "Just Let Me Die", you simply suture up some small lacerations and close up some big ones. In the second operation, "Please Let Me Live", you do the same thing, and then you have your first encounter with Kyriaki.
