"Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean" Quiz

When Kalas first wakes up in the game, he's greeted by the village doctor who goes by the name of Larikush. Afterwards you'll need him for a few other things like obtaining your first Quest Magnus and some more deeper info on Kalas' past much later on in the game.

There are three mini-quests which involve burning the tree trunk blocking the treasure chest in the second area, washing the dirtied sign in the area after the Sabre Dragon, directing the paths of the Bluebirds of Happiness toward the man with the bracelet, and getting the treasure chest in the last area containing an Escape.

The second area in Nunki Valley is blocked due to a landslide, and is blocking traveling and trading routes. You get the Explosives from Larikush.

The Aquarius Constellation is given by the lady in the last house in the first area, when you give her a Pristine Water after meeting Palolo III. The Pyxis Constellation is given by the girl playing on the ground in the first area. Light Flare II isn't received this early in the game, so she'll give you a Dark Flare II.

There are four guards in the area upstairs from the first area, two in the last room to the right in the second area, and another two outside the Lord's office. Most of the soldiers don't respawn in the Lord's Mansion unless you exit the mansion fully and re-enter.

You get to meet two party members in this village: Lyude and Gibari. Only Gibari joins for now, the fisherman who's going to help you unflood the Lesser Celestial River so that the route to the Cloud Passage is more easier. Lyude joins later in Castle Elnath.

The Mana Stone can be found in the first area, a Class Level 3 magnus for Kalas. A Camera I can be found in the beginning of the second area, and the Cloak of Dark Night can be found after crossing the rocks in the lower section of the Cloud Passage, yet it's still in the Lesser Celestial River area.

Answer: Cygnus and Triangulum

The Cygnus magnus is found in the very last area, when you make a cloud bridge to reach two treasure chests and a red save flower. Triangulum is found by randomly defeating a couple of Albireos until they drop them. The Hydra magnus is found in Castle Elnath, by helping the knights clean up the rubble, it isn't found in the Cloud Passage.

The Red and Blue Pencil is found in one of the houses in the second area of Sheliak. The Marvelous Sword is found in Komo Mai's shop, the Century Veil was found in the Lesser Celestial River, and the Sweetheart Picture is found in the School of Magic in Komo Mai.

There are six auras, one for each element: Fire, Water, Light, Dark, Chronos, and Wind. The auras age about every 5-7 hours and they'll age by an increase in one level, until they reach their most powerful level, level six.

Xelha tells Kalas how she managed to get away with the pendant AFTER exiting Castle Elnath but BEFORE entering the Shrine of the Winds. The End Magnus of Le was unleashed, and Ayme hypnotized Lyude into giving her the magnus, which she escaped with.

There's a treasure chest in the pathway that leads to the upper docks, and in the far end holds a treasure chest containing a Snake Tuba magnus for Lyude. There's also a ladder descending to a more lower platform containing an Explosive Paddle finisher for Gibari.

The fifth party member, Savyna, is a hunter living in Opu Village. She's not a clerk although she was seen leaving the Komo Mai shop, she was just selling her catch of the day. She's not a chef, although there are hints that she becomes one in the end of the game. She's also not a mercenary, but she's a hunter.

There are two classrooms in the School of Magic, one in the west wing, and the other in the east wing, that talk about two different topics that are important much later on in the game. Another scene takes place in a classroom with only two people inside, speak to the teacher reading the book on a chair, and then you'll find that the festival outside the School of Magic has stopped.

There are three enemies in the Ancient Library of magic, one of them obviously being the Skeleton Warrior who roam the whole library. There's also the Cursed Spell Book, and the Cursed Grimoire, whom can be found in the bookshelves throughout the library.

The Acherons are the purple turtle-like enemies, while the Mirabilis are the large plant-like enemies in the Holoholo Jungle. Ancoron and Maribulis are names I made up to throw you off.

Answer: Waterlark

The Waterlark are the animals that wander around the waterfall and are useful for the completion of the Animals to Wazn Campaign sidequest. They can be retrieved by climbing the ladder next to Mayfee's house and examining the floating fish.

Answer: Ursa Major

The Ursa Major can be found by defeating random Blood Lea-(fs?)(ves?), while the Ursa Minor can be found by examining something in Cursa much later on in the game. The Canis Major can be found by defeating random Badwins in the Celestial Alps, and the Canis Minor can be found in a treasure chest in the beginning area of the Celestial Alps.

Answer: Ice Knuckles

The Crystal Edge, Green Oak, and Shish Kebab (Large) are three of the twelve items you can get in this mini-game. The Ice Knuckles are found back in Opu in Savyna's house, and also some other places, but you can't get it in this mini-game.

You'll find Trill and Melodia. Trill can be found in Tisocco's pastry bakery, and Melodia can be found in the very first scene where she talks to Tisocco and Donella and accidentally tumbles and falls while Kalas helps her up.

The part of the dungeon where you move within a 2D maze is a parody of the Tower of DRUAGA (even the background music is named the Tower of DRUAGA), Pac Man isn't featured within this dungeon (although there is a Pac Man Magnus), Terminator isn't featured AT ALL within Baten Kaitos, and the Golden Pick Axe is a name of something I just made up to throw you off.

Answer: Mirage Weed

You'll need to give the blue Clairvoyant a Mirage Weed in order to unblock the fortune teller's path and block the house with the Monolith and tri-Crescendo pens to proceed the storyline. The Mira Chocolate is only needed back at Parnesse in order to help Trill out, and the Golden Pick Axe was only needed back at Detourne to break the golden quarry doors.

Answer: Kalas' Water Blade finisher

Gibari's Whirlwind Hit finisher was found back in Detourne, Lyude's Intermezzo finisher is found much later on in the game, and Savyna's Vanish Grenade finisher is found after beating Phantasm in Coccolith. Kalas' Water Blade finisher is found in a chest in the Shrine of Spirits, and Xelha's Dark Embrace finisher is found after beating the boss in the Shrine of Spirits. Mizuti hasn't joined the party yet.

Answer: Apple Pie (slice)

There's an Apple Pie (slice) which is used in the 'Magnus - Use' screen to give one of your characters 3,000 Experience points. There's also another Apple Slice much later on in the game (not in the Balancoire shop) called an Apple Slice (full) which will give a single character 30,000 Experience points.

Answer: Phantasm

Lord of the Light and Bo Guardian were just names to throw you off, while Calypso is the name of a fabled Greek hero. Phantasm is the proper name of the Disc 1 final boss and he's also the protector of the Bo End Magnus.
