When you first start the game it's best to keep the current class. You unlock most guns from the 1980s. On Celerium, the first 2025 mission, you unlock a lot of the 2025 weapons. All other guns require a certain mission to be played or a challenge to be completed.

He is in the 1980s missions, so we know he's over 40 in 2025. He is old but not Woods old in 2025. Woods is most likely in his 90s in 2025. He is a soldier in the 1960s. Menendez is probably 10-20 years younger then Woods, so he was about 30 in the 80s. Menendez had a chance to kill David or Woods in the 80s, but he didn't.

He had chances throughout the campaign to kill David AKA Section. He should of when he had the chances, but instead he didn't and Section can kill him in the ending.

Harper, Farid, Karma, Defalco, Briggs, Menendez, Tian Zhao, Salazar (Harper must be alive), & Kravchenko are optional to kill/die. Harper, Faird, Karma, Briggs & Kravchenko have to be chosen. Karma requires killing Defalco on Karma (mission). If not, get her on Second Chance (Strike Force). If you don't do that, she will die on Odysseus unless Farid is alive.

In Achilles' Veil you choose to kill Harper or let Farid die. If Farid dies, Karma will die. If Harper dies, Salazar lives. DeFalco is killed in Karma or in the final mission. Menendez will die or live in the final mission.

This can be a huge change to the ending. Alex Mason has the option to die or live in one mission, which can also be a big ending changer. Kravchenko will die no matter what, it just depends if Mason kills him or Woods kills him. Tian Zhao must be killed in a Strike a force mission. If he isn't killed, the Chinese will not help prevent the Obama from sinking or snipe in the final mission.

Not preventing the Obama from sinking will result in Karma dying. You get an achievement if Tian Zhao is killed.

The game is taking place in 2025. "Black Ops" was in the the 1960s. In 2025, Woods & Mason are old, and the new set of characters are Section, Harper, Farid, etc.

Many SMGs or Assualt Rifles are Tri-Bullet in Multiplayer and Zombies, like the Chicom CQ8, but in Campaign it shoots like a automatic weapon. This is something Treyarch did for some reason, so people without multiplayer don't know their guns very well.

In the 1980s mission Suffer With Me, Noriega tells Woods to shoot Mason in the leg. Hudson thought it was Menendez, so he shoots him. This will affect the ending of the game BIG TIME.

This is in a 2025 mission, Achille's Veil. Menendez shoots down a VTOL Warship which has Harper in it. Since Farid is undercover, Menendez trusts him because Farid is American Spy. Farid is given a gun to kill Harper. If Farid shoots Harper, Harper wont be in the rest of the campaign. Killing Harper gets you the good ending surprisingly. Letting him live lets him kill Salazar and that's it. If Farid tries to shoot Menendez instead, Farid dies, which means Karma will die on the ship if she is saved. Farid will die saving Karma anyway.

Los Angles is the second to last mission, Cordis Die. Haiti is the final mission, where you have to kill/capture Menendez. Its a quick mission. It has hostile CLAWs, Dragonfires, Snipers, and Invisible Suits. CLAWs would be the hardest, unless you have an EMP or RPG.

Menendez has the choice to kill or wound Briggs in Odysseus. When Briggs shuts down security, Menendez walks in and has the choice to kill him or let him live. In that cut scene is where DeFalco lives/dies, Karma lives/dies, and Farid dies unless he died already. Its where we find out Salazar is a traitor.

They are Pyrrhic Victory, Old Wounds, Time & Fate & Suffer With Me. We learn the origins of Menendez in theses missions. Pyrrhic Victory is where Hudson & Mason rescue Woods, Old Wounds is where Kravchenko dies, Time & Fate is where Josefina dies & Menendez escapes. Suffer with Me is where Hudson dies and Mason lives/dies.

In the final cut scene in Suffer with Me, Menendez kills Hudson. He gives Hudson and Woods the choice of who dies. Menendez says to Hudson, "Now one more must die. You, Woods, or David. Make a decision now or in 10 seconds you're all dead." Hudson is shot by a SPAS-12 in the knees, then gets slit in the throat by Menendez.
