Answer: Clearing the four shrines in the Great Plateau

Link must complete all four shrines that are located on the Great Plateau before heading to Hyrule Castle to defeat Calamity Ganon. This is because the Great Plateau has a high elevation and Link cannot safely leave it without the paraglider. He can only obtain the paraglider from the Old Man who will only give it to him once he completes all four shrines.

Once Link completes all four shrines and obtains their runes, he can do whatever he wants. The game mentions that it would not be wise for Link to immediately fight Calamity Ganon because he probably is not strong enough and definitely does not have strong weapons. Another reason not to fight Calamity Ganon right away is because the player will miss out on other adventures Link will not be able to perform after defeating Calamity Ganon.

Answer: Dress like a woman

The Gerudo is a race of women (a male is only born once every hundred years) who live in the desert areas of Hyrule. They only allow women into their town so Link must wear women's clothes and disguise his face to enter the town. Even after Gerudo Chief Riju discovers Link is a man and is okay with him being in town, he still must cross dress to enter. If he changes his clothes while in the town, he will be kicked out.

Answer: A rabbit like creature that drops rupees

Blupees are rare creatures that Link will sometimes encounter on his journeys. They typically reside in forested area. If Link shoots one with an arrow, it will drop rupees. They are fast and difficult to hit with accuracy.

Answer: Yiga Clan

The Yiga Clan is made up of former Sheikahs who separated from that group when the Calamity struck. The Yiga are soldiers of Ganon and will sometimes attack Link during his journey. Occasionally, one will even try to convert Link to the Yiga. In order to gain the trust of Gerudo Chief Riju, Link must infiltrate the Yiga Clan Hideout and retrieve the Thunder Helm the Yiga stole from Riju.

Answer: Impa

When Link first meets Purah, he believes she is a little girl but she later explains that she is 120 years old. Purah is a scientist who created an anti-aging experiment that went wrong and trapped her in the body of a six year old girl. She explains some of Hyrule's long history to Link and will eventually give him the camera rune which allows him to take photos.

There is a side quest given to Link by Impa that will let him recapture some of his memories that he lost due to his amnesia. Originally, Impa will give Link 12 photos and tell him a memory can be found at each of those locations. Upon finding all 12, Impa will give Link one final memory to locate. Many of the memories give insight into Link and Zelda's relationship.

Answer: An oven

Robbie, who operates Akkala Ancient Tech Lab, invented Cherry. Cherry is oven that can be used to create pieces of armor or weapons for Link. Robbie had worked on Cherry for a number of years and it became his pet project. He even named it after his first love, which makes his wife, Jerrin, jealous.

Answer: Forsaken Fortress from "Wind Waker" (Gamecube)

The Forsaken Fortress is not among the many past locations Link is able to visit in "Breath of the Wild". Many places from past games can be found in this game, though many of them are in ruins and others look completely different.

The Temple of Time is totally and ruins and in very bad shape. It can be found in the Great Plateau and a statue of the Goddess Hylia can be found roughly where the Master Sword once stood.

Lon Lon Ranch is also in complete ruins. It can be found in the Central Tower Region. It is recognizable because the entrance since that hung over the ranch is still standing as are parts of the stables and the brick tower near the ranch.

Arbiter's Grounds where the Mirror of Twilight was housed in "Twilight Princess", is now almost completely gone except for some small ruins in the Gerudo Desert. It should be noted that the Coliseum Ruins south of Hyrule Castle also strongly resemble the original Arbiter's Grounds.

In addition to some of previous locations being found within the game, many places are named after past characters as well.

Answer: Salamander

Vah Rudania is a salamander-like Divine Beast. After Calamity Ganon seized control of it, Vah Rudania started hurling fireballs and fire rocks from Death Mountain. After Link takes back control of it, it will perch itself on top of Death Mountain Volcano.

Divine Beast Vah Medoh is the bird/hawk beast. Vah Naboris is the camel and Vah Ruta is an elephant.

Answer: Mipha

Link and Mipha, the Zora Champion, had something of a relationship before he she was killed by Waterblight Ganon and before Link developed amnesia. Link remembers this when he visits Zora's Domain for the first time. Link and Mipha's relationship appears to be controversial among the Zoras as some of them refuse to acknowledge Mipha would ever have been with a Hylian like Link. Some Zoras even hate Link and blame him for Mipha's death. Link previously was engaged to another Zora princess, Ruto, in "Ocarina of Time".

Link may have also been romantically linked to Princess Zelda, according to his memories. During the course of the game, some female characters will flirt with Link, especially the Gerudo women.
