"Dawn of the New World" - Emil and Richter Quiz

Answer: Aster

Aster is Richter's friend who was killed by Ratatosk in the Ginnungagap. This is the reason why Aqua is working against Ratatosk and for Richter. The reason Richter called Emil this is because Emil looks like Aster.

Answer: Eternal Recurrence

Richter first uses this arte in the Temple of Darkness. In battle, it will return Emil's Mystic Arte extension at double the power. It's kind of like Asch's Rending Saber counter for Luke's Mystic Arte in "Tales of the Abyss".

Answer: Devil's Hellfire

Devil's Hellfire can be used when Emil reaches level 30 and has the skill "Special" equipped. It is executed by holding the B button after the use of an Arcane Arte.

Answer: Ain Soph Aur

Ain Soph Aur is unlocked while retrieving Tenebrae's Core from the Temple of Darkness. Theoretically, the way to execute this is by pressing B right after the cut in of Emil during Devil's Hellfire.

Answer: Nether Traitor

The Nether Traitor is obtained from the Albrum Atrum fight in the Twilight Palace. The Albrum Atrum is this game's version of Abyssion, except he's got backup.

Answer: Sol & Mani

A weapon set like Sol & Mani haven't been seen in any other "Tales of" games released in the US. During his Mystic Arte, Richter discards Sol and attacks with Mani, which makes for a particularly devastating attack.

Answer: Sword and Axe

Richter uses the axe, Sol, and the sword, Mani, in his fights. His attacks usually rely on the use of both, except during Richter's Mystic Arte.

Answer: Water

This really isn't the most difficult question I've asked. The fact that he uses mostly water-based spells and recovers health when the dominant element on the grid is water should have given this question away. In addition, if you look in the top right-hand corner next to Richter's picture when you you press +, you'll see the elemental symbol for water.

Answer: Darkness

You can find Emil's element the same way you do Richer's or any other character. Emil uses the darkness-element attack, Devil's Maw during a Unison Attack and the darkness-element attack, Devil's Hellfire, for a Mystic Arte. The thing that breaks the chain is the light-element Mystic Arte extension, Ain Soph Aur.

Answer: Richter doesn't have a Centurion

Centurion Aqua does travel with Richter, but he did not make a pact with her. Richter and Aster awakened Aqua during their journey to meet the Summon Spirit of the first World Tree, Ratatosk. Aqua turned her back on Ratatosk after he killed Aster. You fight her right before Richter in the Ginnungagap.
