While the strategy guide says it is impossible to beat him, you most certainly can. All you need is to be on your second playthrough and have the monsters you finished the game with. If the monsters are around level 75-100, you should be fine.

Havoc Strike gains the fire element when you have Ignis equipped to Emil. Using it adds the fire element to the Elemental Grid. Ingis Havoc Strike is a good way to make pacts with monsters and set a monster up for a combo with an Arcane Arte.

Aqua is trying to kill Ratatosk, so why would he make a pact to become a knight? Aqua just follows Richter around like a groupie, calling Tenebrae names whenever she sees him. Kind of rude, really.

When Richter first calls Aqua out in the Lake Sinoa Cave, she calls Tenebrae spiteful, but not Tenebonehead. Every time afterward, however, she calls him "Spiteful Tenebonehead".

Lloyd already has Lumen's core from the Lake Sinoa Cave. If you got the normal ending, Lloyd has taken Ignis' and Tonitrus' Cores from the Temple of Fire and the Temple of Lightning, respectively. In order to get Ignis' Core, DO NOT SWEAR ALLIGENCE TO LLOYD ON THE FIRST DAY! It will royally screw you over. To get Tonitrus' Core, don't get hit by the lightning fourteen times in the Temple of Lightning. I don't know why, but if you do get hit fourteen times, Lloyd will get there before you and steal it.

Yeah, Decus goes crazy when Brute takes Solum's Core. What was that? He was already crazy? Yeah, I know. Anyway, Decus goes all "God of War" on Brute and rips, yes rips, Solum's Core from Brute's chest.

Alrighty, time to do a REALLY long-winded explanation. Lloyd didn't attack Palmacosta, it was Decus. He was using Solum's Core to shapeshift (you're not a ninja, Decus). The attack was all a ruse concocted by Brute to rally support for the Vanguard. Magnar attacks Luin in the name of the Church because the were "Harboring Marta." Anyway, Emil beats Magnar and all is fine again. Well it would've been, except Emil totally freaked everyone out by beating Magnar to a bloody, quivering pulp, so the mayor asked Emil to go look for Lloyd.

Tenebrae tells the group that the light-frog is called the Nazdrovie. The scene goes like this:
someone says a sentence with light-frog in it.
Tenebrae: Nazdrovie.
someone else says a sentence with light-frog in it.
Tenebrae: Nazdrovie!
someone else says something about the light-frog.
Tenebrae: NAZDROVIE!
someone else talks about the light frog.
Tenebrae: Fine I see how it is!
Emil: Tenebrae...
There's also a skit where just the opposite happens. Tenebrae say light-frog and everyone else says Nazdrovie.

Getting the good ending isn't as hard as it would seem. All you have to do is get all of the cores except for Lumen's. The title gives Emil a boost on every stat upon leveling up except for A. DEF and TP, and it gives Marta a boost on everything except P.DEF and HP.

Richter surprises everyone be revealing that he has a sense of humor. He does cook, as stated in a skit, but that doesn't really surprise anyone.
