You first meet Freya in Lindblum. She is an old friend of Zidane's she has come to test her skills in the Festival of the Hunt. Freya searched for years looking for her Mentor and Boyfriend after he left on a journey. She heard rumours of his many victories and a rumour of his death.

However he appears later in the game but she is gutted when Fratley says this is the first time they have met. She says she is happy that he still lives but she is really hurt by being forgotten. You never find out how Sir Fratley lost his memory but Prince Puck (who is the Prince of Burmecia which is Freya's and Fratley's hometown) tells of how he found Fratley and he didn't remember him either.

Answer: Doctor Tot

Eiko is smitten with Zidane and when she arrives in Alexandria, Dagger (aka Princess Garnet) is preparing to become Queen. She thinks this is her chance to win his heart (Zidane however is smitten with Dagger). She bumps into Dagger's old tutor, Doctor Tot, upon whom she comments looks like 'the bookish type'.

She asks him to help her write the love letter for Zidane which he obliges to do (mainly because he is also interested in her because she has a summoner's horn). After this part though she loses the letter.

The letter gets passed between several people after this and the scene that occurs during this part of the game is very funny (and kind of romantic) until Baku (the leader of the band of thieves Tantalus) sneezes loudly and kills the mood!

Answer: Moguo

You can use the Moogle's flute anywhere on the World Map and Moguo will rush to you allowing you to rest in a tent and save your game. Most of the Moogles you meet can allow you to rest in a tent and save your game however the exception is Stiltzkin (a travelling Moogle you meet in many places during the game) and the Moogles in Mognet Central.

The Moogle Kupo resides in the Bell tower in Alexandria and Serino can be found on the Red Rose Alexandria's Royal Airship.

If you take the time to do this lengthy side-quest with Choco and Mene (a Moogle who is a friend of Choco), over time he can find treasures that change his abilities. Each colour gives him more access to areas he could not reach before. He begins coloured yellow and can only cross land masses.

The first upgrade changes him to a light blue colour which allows him to cross rivers and shallow bodies of water. The second upgrade turns him to the red mountain-crossing Chocobo. The third upgrade turns him into a dark blue colour allowing him to cross oceans.

The fourth and final upgrade turns him gold and allows him to fly. After he obtains a special ability he still has the abilities he has already learnt, so by the time you have the gold Chocobo there is nowhere on the World Map you cannot get to. You cannot turn Choco green; however you can breed a green Chocobo in "Final Fantasy VII".

Answer: Soulcage

After reaching the bottom of the Iifa Tree, Soulcage attacks you after a short chat with him about him being the source of the mist (that covers the southern most continent on the World Map aptly called the Mist Continent) and how Kuja uses the mist to make weapons.

This boss however is very easy to defeat because it is undead, so throwing a Phoenix down at him or casting the spell Life will instantly disable him. He can be defeated by other means but this is much more difficult (but possible) to do.

When you reach the Black Mage Village for the first time, you can visit the small hut on the far left part of the village where two Black Mages are tending a Chocobo egg. Later on in the game you can meet the new baby Chocobo who has actually been named Bobby Corwen.

Mr Morrid loves coffee and wants to try all the different types in the world. The first one you can find is the Moccha coffee which is found at the South Gate entrance near the Chocobo Forest. The Burman coffee is at Eiko's house on the picnic table in her kitchen.

The third and final coffee (Kirman) can only be found during the Card Game Tournament being held in Treno. Before playing the final in the Card Game you must leave Treno and make your way to Dali. When you get there you can obtain the Mayor's key and open the locked door in the Windmill.

This leads you to a chest containing a staggering 30000 Gil and if you search the (now empty) chest for a second time you will find the coffee hidden underneath. If you deliver all the coffees to Mr Morrid he sends a model of the Prima Vista Theatre Ship to the Tantalus hideout.

The only effect this item has is increasing your Treasure Hunter Rank. However if you do not do this side-quest but still do the game thoroughly you should still be able to obtain the highest Treasure Hunter Rank (Rank S) without much of a problem.

Answer: Excalibur II

Excalibur II is a very difficult weapon to obtain. To obtain this weapon you have to reach the first storey of two landings leading to the Crystal World in Memoria in under 12 hours. This weapon is only for Steiner and has an attack power of 108. If you do not obtain this, Steiner's strongest weapon will be Ragnarok with an attack power of 87. Ultima Weapon is Zidane's strongest weapon and has an attack power of 100.

The Rune Claws are Amarant's best weapon with an attack power of 83.

Kuja is the only person in this game who can cast Ultima, unlike other "Final Fantasy" titles where your characters can also learn Ultima. Flare Star is another of Kuja's attacks but is nowhere near as devastating as his Ultima spell. Grand Cross is another devastating attack, used by the final boss Necron after defeating Kuja for the second time. Meteor is a fairly strong spell that Vivi can learn and some monsters can cast (Behemoths sometimes cast this as a counter-attack).

You first see this guy in Treno (he robs Dagger in an ATE) and you also see him in further ATEs in Treno. If you meet him in Daguerreo and address him he will tell you your Treasure Hunter Rank. If, by this time, you have achieved Rank S he will run away from you. Follow him and you will meet him by the entrance/exit to Daguerreo and he will present you with the Treasure Hunter Rank S Medal and tell you his name before leaving. People who have played "Final Fantasy VIII" may remember that if you obtain the Guardian Force Odin near the end of the game he is replaced by a Four-Armed Guardian Force called Gilgamesh.

This Choograph is the the one that allows you to get the Ultimate Gold flying Chocobo. You get the Chocograph pieces in both the Chocobo Forest and the Chocobo Lagoon.

Answer: Friendly Mu

The Friendly Mu is located between the Ice Cavern and the Village of Dali. He asks for one ore and if you give it to him he rewards you with an item and a fair amount of AP. This happens with all of the friendly creatures in the game (with the exception of the Ragtime Mouse) and if you complete this side-quest it allows you to use physical attacks on the Ultimate optional Boss monster Ozma.

It also makes him weak against Shadow based damage. During the game you may also meet the Gimme cat enemy who asks for a diamond but he is a red herring and you should give him a whopping instead!

Answer: Level 5 Death

The Level 5 Death spell can only be learnt by Quina. She can learn it from a Dracozombie, Whale Zombie or Lich in the Crystal World. Grand Dragons are very strong enemies which give you a fair amount of EXP and AP. They are actually immune to the Death attack that Vivi can learn, as with the Iai Strike which causes Death if it hits (this is one of Steiner's abilities).

The Dragon Killer is an Auto-ability that can only be learnt by Freya which only increases physical damage against Dragon enemies if it is equipped.

There are different numbers of Chocographs located in the Chocobo Forest, Chocobo Lagoon and the Chocobo Air Garden. However, in the forest you can obtain a good number, but to get all of them, you must return later with a red Chocobo. The same rule applies to the Chocobo Lagoon; you must return here later with a dark blue Chocobo to obtain all the Chocographs from this location.

This also applies to the six Chocograph Pieces for the Mist Ocean Chocograph. The Air Garden only needs to be visited once to obtain all its Chocographs.
