Answer: Magical Fingertip

If you give the old man in the library in Daguerreo the Magical Fingertip, he talks about how he had hoped to use the Magical Fingertip to create a doll of his deceased wife. The Fingertip is said to have belonged to a famous blacksmith, Gogo (who is also a character in 'Final Fantasy VI'). Excalibur teaches Steiner Climhazzard, and is his third strongest sword, behind Ragnarok and ExcaliburII.

Seven of Zidane's weapons can be obtained through Synthesis (Butterfly Sword, The Ogre, Exploda, Rune Tooth, Angel Bless, Sargatanas and Masamune). Amarant's Duel Claws can be Synthesised in Black Mage Village on Disc 4 by using Dragon's Claws and Tiger Fangs. And the Priest's Racket can be synthesised from an Air Racket and Cachusha, which can be used by both Dagger and Eiko.

Dragon's Hair and Gastro Fork are Freya and Quina's ultimate weapons, and Excalibur is one of Steiner's strongest swords. All have an attack power of 77, whereas Amarant's Duel Claws have an attack power of 79. The Duel Claws are Amarant's second strongest claws, right behind Rune Claws, with an attack power of 83.

Answer: Angel Flute

The Angel Flute is the most powerful flute, and teaches Eiko Curaga, Esuna and Holy. However, despite its name, it does not have an elemental attack of Holy. Freya's Holy Lance can be stolen from Ark, Dagger's Asura's Rod can be bought from various places, and Steiner's Excalibur is explained in Question 1.

Bit of a trick question, for although Quina's Ultimate Weapon is called the Gastro Fork, his/her master is called Quale, not Quan. Quan was Quale's master, and also Vivi's grandfather. If you go to Quan's Dwelling (located near Treno) on Disc 4 with Vivi and Quina in your party, more is revealed about Master Quan.

Answer: Orichalcon

Although Ultima Weapon is Zidane's strongest weapon, it is a double-sword, and not a thief's dagger. If you look at Orichalcon's description, it says that it is the strongest thief's dagger. You can obtain Orichalcon by stealing it from Taharka in Ipsen's Castle

Answer: Vivi

Zidane has Mythril Dagger, Steiner has Mythril Sword, Dagger has Mythril Rod and Mythril Racket, Quina has Mythril Fork, Freya has Mythril Spear, Eiko has Mythril Racket, and Amarant has Mythril Claws. Vivi does not have a Mythril weapon, but he does have weapons such as High Mage Staff, which teaches him Meteor and Osmose, and Mace of Zeus, which teaches him Doomsday.

Answer: Trident

Although Mace of Zeus, Angel Flute and Whale Whisker are the strongest staff (ATK:35), flute (ATK:33) and rod (ATK:36), Freya's Trident has an attack power of 37. Staves, flutes, rods and rackets are the weakest weapons in the game, because you tend to use the characters' magic more than attacking.

Answer: Ore

Hammer, a rare item, must be synthesised with Ore, a very common item, to get Tin Armour, the best armour available. You can only synth it at Hades in Memoria, but if you do, you will not get the special ending which the Tin Hammer gives you. To get Hammer, collect all 12 Stellazzio and give them to Queen Stella in Treno.

Then go to Quan's Dwelling to collect the 13th coin, Ophicious, which you can exchange for the Hammer from Queen Stella.

Answer: Black Waltz 1

You fight Black Waltz 1 in the Ice Cavern along with Sealion. The most useful item to steal from Sealion is Zidane's Mythril Dagger. Black Waltz 2 is fought in Dali, just before you board the Cargo Ship. Black Waltz 3 is fought for the first time on board the Cargo Ship. You must fight him without Dagger, however, Vivi does start the battle in Trance.

The second time you fight Blakc Waltz 3 is on Disc 2 with Dagger, Steiner and Marcus.
