You need to talk to Rin quite late in the game (unless you are on a repeat playthrough and already have all twety-six primers) as the twenty-sixth primer is located in the dangerous Omega Ruins. The other twenty-five primers are a lot easier to obtain as going to the Omega Ruins requires quite a well developed set of characters the others you find during the course of the main story.

The problem with being ambushed by this monster is that it will get the first attack and it will always be the Bad Breath attack. However there are two ways to deal with this attack. Firstly alaways make sure you have a character in the battle who has First Strike if they have Flee you can run or you can immediately switch them with a charcter who does have Flee and you can escape.

The alternative option is to make sure that at least one of the characters in the opening part of the battle is protected against Confuse and Berserk (I have all my charcters immune to these staus effects when I go to the ruins) with this strategy you can use Remedies and the like to recover your party before going on the offensive (prefrably with strong fire attacks.)

You can only learn this attack from two monsters. Ultima Weapon looks similar to Omega but is much smaller and is encountered on the bottom level of the Omega Ruins, Omega Weapon is on the second level. Nemesis looks pretty much identical to Omega Weapon and you can also learn Nova from him. Neslug is one of the stronger Arena creations (he is the Original monsters section) and Penance is the strongest oppenent you can encounter in the game (in the European version).

The Dark Flan is strong against physical attacks until you use Armour Break on it as is the Dark Element. Cactuars are immune to Armour Break and are resistant to magic attacks but magic attacks still cause a little damage to them.

The first of the four is a straight run from one post to another, the Chocobo will not run straight and you have to keep it on track using he D-Pad or left analog stick. In the second task your Chocobo will run straight but you have to dodge the balls being thrown in your direction.

The third task is the same as the second but you have to dodge birds that are flying at you as well as the balls. The fourth and final task pits you in a race aginst the Chocobo Trainer Woman. In this your goal is to collect as many balloons as possible while dodging flying birds and reach the finish line before the trainer. Each balloon collected knocks three seconds off your final time and any birds you collided with adds three seconds on to your time (also getting hit by a bird will stun your Chocobo for a brief second and therefore it takes you longer to reach the finsh line).

After the total time has been calculated if you were quicker than the trainer you win and she will reward you with an item. If you manage to finsh the course in 00.00 seconds (trust me it is difficult but not impossible!) then you will receive a very valuable item, the Sun Sigil.
