1. "God of War 3" has an epic introduction. Who is the first God you battle in "God of War 3"?

Answer: Poseidon

You do not battle Zeus until the end of the game, and Hades is the second boss. Your confrontation with Gaia is brief, but not enough to warrant itself as the "first battle".

2. What is the first weapon you get in the game?

Answer: Blades of Exile

Upon falling into the River Styx, the Blades of Athena are replaced. Athena's spirit gives you your new blades. The Blade of Olympus is re-acquired later in the game and the Claws of Hades are found later as well.

3. Kratos has a LOT of rage. Specifically, what kind of rage in this game?

Answer: Rage of Sparta

Rage of the Gods was "God of War 1" and Rage of the Titans was "God of War 2". Rage of Zeus is not a real power in the game.

4. The Gods left behind some of their possessions. How many were there?

Answer: Ten

The possessions can be found throughout the game and have beneficial powers, but disable trophies. You can collect three gorgon eyes at a time, which will increase your total health at the third one. You can collect twenty Cyclops' eyes, and on the twentieth, the "General Kratos" costume is unlocked. There are twelve minotaur horns in the game, which will increase Kratos's overall power.

5. Who guards the Chain of Balance and is a mini-boss?

Answer: Hades Cerberus Breeder

Hades does not guard the chain as he is a separate boss battle. Cerberus alone is not in the game. Lastly, Skorpius is not a boss, but an enemy found within the caves of Mt. Olympus.

6. Which of the following is NOT a weapon in the game?

Answer: Blade of Zeus

The Blade of Olympus is a real weapon used in "God of War 3" and "God of War 2". You start the game with the Blades of Exile, and receive the Nemesis whip upon defeating Hades.

7. Challenge of the Gods is unlocked upon completing the game. How many are there?

Answer: Ten

The five "Ares Challenges" and eight "Athena Challenges" are separate from "God of War 3" and are only present in "God of War: Ghost of Sparta". Also, there were seven "Challenge of the Titans" in "God of War 2".

Answer: Helios

You encounter Hermes later in the game and tear off his legs to obtain his fast shoes. You kill Hercules much later in the game, and obtain the Nemean Cestus as a new weapon. Apollo never appears in any "God of War", but his bow does.

Answer: "Zeus! Your son has returned, I bring the destruction of Olympus!"

Kratos says numerous times "I shall have my vengeance!" in different trailers about "God of War" and in the game "Mortal Kombat". "Zeus! Your reign ends today..." is never mentioned. In "God of War 2" "Olympus! I shall have my revenge" is said as Kratos vows to destroy Zeus and every God.

10. "God of War 3" has four different difficulties. Which of the following is NOT a difficulty SPECIFICALLY in "God of War 3"?

Answer: Mortal

In "God of War 3", Spartan is the new "Easy" difficulty. This may have been confusing as in the previous "God of War" titles, Spartan difficulty was labeled as "Hard".
